Yup HDR is the best.... too bad there is no HD in Msia.... however HDR can receive and decode the analogue very well and very clear too....

Try your luck with ebay lah.. HDR can be had for around US$30-40 before shipping. Usually they'll charge around US$40 for the shipment (quite heavy). Visteon or Directed, they're both the same unit OEMed from the same company. Mitch's cable is US$25 shipped (have no idea what in the circuitry, probably just TTL level converters).

For my carpc, seems to be working alright now .. but last few days, the pc decided to switch back on after I turn the ignition switch off .. probably the big keyboard that I've near my door which I always hit when I tried to get in and out of the car smile.gif Bought the RII minikeyboard, yet to be seen and I've filled a refute with paypal .. grr.. US$50 .. and the keyboard is nowhere to be seen.

Rebellium 4 - Happy Hollidays!

TempGP team wishes happy holiday season to you all!
On this pleasant note we would like to tell you that we just released Rebellium 4™. You can go get your copy from www.tempgp.com

user posted image
To keep the story short, main advantage of R4 release over R3 is that our new plugin uses map space much more efficiently than previous version. R4 now well supports 800*480 resolutions and if we needed can even add smaller resolutions. We also added support for external txt displays so you directions can be outputted on external display in text format. Another nice thing that was improved is detection of voice direction duration, so we will pause music for as much time as it is needed to pronounce your directions. And yes, ATT Mute is now supported too!

One thing you have to keep in mind is that Rebellium 4 is now designed to work with new Garmin Mobile PC 5.0.70. So before you test new release, make sure you upgrade your GMPC. (For reference R3 only worked with GMPC up to 5.0.60)

More info about Rebellium 4 can be found on our homepage:

user posted image
Honda & Acura carPC enthusiast! Did you know that you can retain control of you r dash buttons even when you install your car pc? No? Then keep reading!

GA-Net+ femto is a new adapter that has power to access Honda and Acura dash buttons, joystick and even touch screen! This small adapter is connected to your CarPC and USB HID device and it tells your pc what button is pressed. So now you can press Vol Up/Down button and get your volume controlled or you can switch songs while you driving without trying to find Next / Previous button on your touch screen! GA-Net+fempto is a must have device for your Acuras and Hondas!

Another very important feature of Femto adapter is that it can serve as touch screen deader, so you can put your car pc video to your existing screen and read touch gestures from factory touch panel! This way you don’t need to tear apart your dash board and install 3rd party touch screen monitor. Ofcaurse to get video to your in-dash screen you need to have RGB adapter. You can use existing on the market RGB adapters OR you can get full GA-NET+ kit that has all-in-one functionality, including Audio and Video adapters.

Latest update from me, migrated from Centrafuse to RideRunner today smile.gif Much better radio interface compared to Centrafuse.. should've install this from day one instead of buying the Centrafuse. But will keep both, just in case the 3.2 will have much better interface. Only thing with RideRunner, when it was on my bench, it was very responsive, but not after I moved it into the car.. probably because there wasn't any devices connected.. but the radio, webcam, gps etc are there in the car setup.
