Hi all, I'm looking for Pro-Antium (4.74 Lbs.) but the website that I trusted always sold out sad.gif

I'm planning change to "Pro Star 100% Whey Protein" (10 lbs), this is much cheaper and 15x servings... but the protein is 5g lower than Pro-Antium.. not to mention 5g Creatine and 2.5g Betaine in Pro-Antium.

please advise where can I get this Pro-Antium, or you guys review about "Pro Star 100% Whey Protein"

tqvm and have a good weekend. smile.gif

You only need lean body-weight * 2.2 grams of protein per day.... which is quite easy to get with some chicken.

Yes you're right bro. And it's cheaper too. Maybe I'm just lazy so I always take whey proteins, milks, eggs, and soy bean as supplements.

My weight is around 64-66kg. Planned to build muscle and keep it on solid 70kg.

Let me begin by saying im a newbie too. But it seems the amino profile not is that good. The 5g extra protein may come completely from Glycine, which is a kinda filler. The other contents ie carbo and fats are also higher than norm.

Creatine works differently on each individual, I stack it with my Prostar whey but seems to have no effect so far.

Prostar though, tastes kinda bad to me, probably because I switched from Muscletech which contains more sugar.

But protein supplements are still supplements at the end of day, just found UN Prostar kinda good value for money, no complain apart from the taste

May refer to below link on how to spot good protein:

U mean 3 years ago eggs cost RM6, since egg contains about 6g of protein? Ya meh!?

Or u meant to say RM/gram without the '1'? But if u can load up that much chicken meat (like 400g, based on 1.5lbs per kg of body weight?) then no point going for supplements. Then again, u miss out the nutrients from other food/ source of protein.

So for most people, whey is the easy way to meet protein intake requirement, mirite?

Without 1. It's a ratio.

Omg 400g.... Milk, bread, rice, eggs, soya beans, biscuits, pizza, burger also got protein lar. You can & should get protein from variety of sources. I eat 150~200g chicken breast per day.

I used to take "branded" whey protein like muscle tech and ON.. are these considered as "good protein".. can u just intro some specific name of protein brand/model for me?

I think prostar might taste like shyt ad.. cheap and kinda cap ayam brand. But it's cheap, and 25g of per scoop as well. So I want to try, jimat cermat mah.

Thanks brother, kindly advise ya.

Eh so you know the problem already right? I guess you should work on that first.

Talk about price, if cook our own, yes real is cheaper. But when eating out, even mixed rice, the price / gram of protein is about the same. Mixed rice nowadays is darn expensive ranting.gif
The reason I take whey is adding more varieties to my daily intake, so I don't get bored of anything, or running out of ways to cook.

I have only tried Muscletech and now taking Pro star so couldnt recommend anything else apart from that.

I haven't tried ON, though i think it is really good the gold standard like the name suggests. If u could go for Muscletech, then might just go for ON for better amino profile, i think alot of bruhs here take ON. Muscletech still have pretty good amino profile, though not the best I think, but taste wise they're perfect!

If u really cannot withstand the bad taste of Pro Star, add some syrup la - not the best idea but the only way to overcome it. Or just be a man, close ur nose and down it! thumbup.gif

Oh ya, after u inevitably have to burp after downing it, the problem is even worse, but u can't have good amino profile, great taste and great price all at once lar. Haha

i've tasted muscletech nitrotech, labrada iso, ON gold, prostar whey n casein.

nitrotech sometimes too sweet. need add more water than recommendation. labrada n ON gold r d best in term of taste ive tried so far. prostar r way far behind.

UN Prostar is hardly shyt... i did some digging.. they have been around for longer than ON. And protein per gram is higher than Pro-Antium (51g per scoop, 30g protein 58% protein by weight vs Prostar 30g per scoop for 25g protein 83% protein by weight)

I'm considering getting a tub of Prostar Casein in Strawberry for variety... apart from my Whey choc.

Pro-Antium looks like great value...until you realise its only 50 servings per 5.6lbs tub.

Which flavour you tried on Prostar? Choc?

Wonder how's the Strawberry on Prostar.
