really not a wise decision .

I'm not worrying becoz this webe line/number is not my daily usage. I use it for "unlimited" data purposes only.

I will port out back to U-Mobile once they patch the tethering "hack"...

I have a hypothesis that those who subscribe to webe new number will get TAC while those who port-in will not get TAC....

Are both of you apply new webe number or port in from other telco?

For my case,  I port from U-Mobile and I did not receive any TAC from any vendors.

Why? I have using my number for more than 15yrs.. not gonna change just because of webe®... hope they fix is soon.

not sure bcoz of my phone or webe 4G quality..
its unusable if i set to LTE/3G setting bcoz of the jumping around frm 4G,H+,H

now i fixed it at 3G only. then its bearable.
wanna see how its goes this weekend.

I mean about the MNP. You mention it is not a wise decision to port over? Does numbers can cause issue with TAC?

Okay I just got my webe sim. Put it on OnePlus 3 (which is 850mhz supported but on their website don't list this phone), got a message my phone is not supported.

But I follow the instruction to put the APN at the back of the sim card. LTE shows right away.

Question is, will I be charged as non-supported phone? While it clearly supported 850mhz. hmm.gif

I think for those phone that support 850mhz doesn't mean is certified by Webe.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I thougjt it is due to TAC issue. Some are not facing it while some are. Just wonder if +60111 numbers are ok for TAC or not..

Ipad and tablet will not getting discount for certified device for now even it support LTE 850 because it is considered as big screen devices. Webe will launch package for ipad and tablet soon

This is what my hypothesis was... Only those apply for new webe number aka 011 from fresh will have no problem to receive TAC... Those port in from Celcom kaaa, DiGi kaaa, U-Mobile kaaa, Maxis kaaa, etc-etc will get TAC issue...

You will not getting the discount if you got a message stated it is not certified phone even the phone do support LTE 850. The system is quite smart in detecting non certified phone.

That's very promising... Any other reports having TAC issue but not 011 prefix...?

Temporary measures...

But for online banking transactions, suggest to sort with the bank..

Luckily my webe account / number is for data usage only... No need to worry about TAC...
