Tested Apple Pay in LA using Tap card super cool especially with Express Travel. Then used my Visa card in NYC subway.... Super nice... glad we have Apple Pay now
Especially with the Tap card in LA. No need to have physical card. Imagine you can apply for a TnG card directly in Apple Pay and use all our public transport. Including online top up too.

I saw other country implemented their mifare classic card into Apple Pay which is the same underlying tech under tng. Wonder if tng would work with Apple Pay one day

AP is just a means to use your card. if SenQ or Harvey offers if, you can.
if your bank offers it, just call the bank and convert the transaction into installments.

Interesting note, was it over the card's balance limit? I used ApplePay to pay for my mechanic bill >RM4k where they were using a Public Bank POS terminal and it went through no issues.

That means for SC the transaction limit is also tied to the physical card's limit. Usually these settings are set by the bank rather than on Apple

I think is more like the bank issue, next time if you have some time. Rmb the error code when reject your Card using AP, try and call/email the bank.

So far I used Maybank CC/Debit Card and MAE all no issue.

Purchases above RM200 relies on a Verification Method called CDCVM to avoid transaction rejection / having to type in pin. However in order for CDCVM to work, everything in the chain (from your devide to merchant's terminal to merchant's acquirer, basically all the way out) has to support the CDCVM flag.

In this circumstance, it could be that potentially the CDCVM flag was not recognised. On the other hand, the merchant / merchant's acquirer or even your card issuer could also restrict high-value transactions for fraud prevention purposes.

Thanks, ended up calling the HSBC CS and they explained they need to key into a global system which would take a couple of hours to get it validated. Whilst having lunch earlier the validation got through and managed to pay using Apple Pay for the HSBC card.

Hi does anyone know the limit for Apple Pay via SC credit cards? Tried to use it for a payment of over RM1500 and it didn’t go through. Had to use the physical card only it went through.

tested hsbc also same. sometimes over 250 cannot go through
