Btw has anyone here tried AP with Singapore terminals? Am currently in Singapore and for some reason, my card just shows Do Not Honor at their terminal, terminal is DBS branded and wired. Not sure if my card is to be blamed or terminal, didn’t try with physical card. Had to manually go online and pay to get it to work

I suspect Sunmi terminal NFC is too sensitive and it will scan halfway then failed if nearby.

So, don’t activate your Apple Pay (double click power button) near the terminal, you activate it away from terminal 30cm then tap on it.

This just my 2cent.

Try contact your issuer bank to check your Malaysia card have enable overseas payment?

Most properly block by your acquirer bank due to this.

When will our public transport system support Apple pay’s transit card?

All our gov need to do is to add support for debit/credit card in their turnstile gate, like sg.

I think straight away Support TNG card would be more straightforward. Correct me if I’m wrong tho, as what I actually believe behind those “transit card” are nothing more than about emulating their NFC signal. Speaking of that, we already have NFC tng card right? So if those nfc-enabled tng card could work on all nfc terminal, then my assumption is that, the virtualised tng thru Apple Pay should work the same - incl. triggering of PayDirect if the same card is added to eWallet app. However as I said, it’s just my (rather naive) assumption and so I could be wrong. I welcome anyone who *REALLY* knows how tng works to correct me.

If you were to say upgrade the turnstiles so that they can support OLP payment, I think it’s like thrice amount of work to do cuz, 1st those rail operators (and doubt if KTM would even want to do that) have to acquire bunch of new terminal add-ons, then have to set up proper payment network & connectivity, then rigorous testings, and then… you already know how much more work is involve in this case compared to the former.

Mastercard macam quite a lots of problems

For Mid Valley/The Gardens parking, the terminal for Paywave is located under the TnG reader.
It is the same design across all parking entries and exits.
Do not wave at the ticket machine (ticket discontinued, for season pass access only), the TnG and Paywave terminal is just beside the ticket machine.

I feel you bro. Today i pay for McD Drive-thru at wall terminal, scan up n down left n right keep showing 'try again', my car is tall i have to stretch out like doing yoga, also worry my phone will drop.

Last last McD guy brings out the portable black terminal for me, scan once and done.

There are also funny moment with this Apple Pay, ya.
Today i did my 1st Apple Pay payment for mcd and Aeon Wellness pharmacy with AW and is so easy and simple.
Just that parking need to try again someday.
