I think only mastercard can be added now, visa and amex cannot. not too sure about this theory

Can. But since it’s not live yet, I think there’s a one-card per bank limit. The card on Watch and iPhone are actually two different virtual cards (device account number) that point to the same physical card number. So you have to add it in Watch app straight away without using the Settings app to add it on iPhone first. If you have, remove it from your phone and from list of previous cards first. Then try adding it in Watch app.

I personally have the new cherry platinum one, didn't manage to be added into AP, same with MAE card, I'll just wait till 1AM and try again, Visa is probably handling it slowly due to the database size afaik, since locally MBB is the biggest and most of their debit is Visa

Visa (via Apple Pay) is 2.5%. MyDebit is 0.5%. This is Maybank MAE card.
Can already see some merchants banning Apple Pay.
