I'm going for short trip, like 4d3n. Actually I'm going to Phuket, been there 3 times already. Normally I just bring around RM600 because I have booked the hotel beforehand.

Phuket nice to play?

Those that have been to Krabi and Phuket, which beach is the better choice ? Planning to go during March and I heard you must know how to ride a bike if you are traveling to these places ? I only know how to drive lol

Depends on what do you mean by "to play"? They have very nice beach, very havoc nightlife.

By logic, a Malaysian entering Thailand should be able to bring any amount of money as long as they have a return ticket since we're just a neighboring countries. Even if we have like only RM100 or 1000 thb in our pocket, since we can just ride a bus or train around that price. The only reason for Thailand to enforce the rule was so that there won't be travelers, especially European or American since they're far away from the country, begging on the streets of Bangkok for money to go back home.

Going back to my wife hometown first time during Songkran although been in Bangkok many times..

Be staying 3-4 days at her hometown and back to Bangkok by then, hopefully my lovely street food start to open business by then

Agree, but they are not very strict towards us farang/mat salleh either in general. I usually just bring my MC and Visa credit cards and that is fine.

The rule is that you should be able to prove that you have the means to support yourself during your stay. That can be proven with a wad of cash but also by showing hotel bookings, bank statements etc etc. In general you have nothing to fear if you are genuine traveler in good financial standing.
