Was at Artbox Chatuchak yesterday. Pretty underwhelming compared to Artbox emquartier which was buzzing. Might be something to do with the HM Kings passing

Everything as normal as of today... Khaosan Road bar, more than half of it are operating... but in a more quieter scale. JJ Market also open.. and quite a lotsa tourist walking around.

Malls and restaurant all are operating as usual. Traffic is still as usual... JAM!

But one thing for sure... those 'happening' places are much more quieter now..

Last night the thai style karaoke bar ( u pay the jukebox machine and sing for the whole bar) somewhere in Bang Phli have no people singing the whole night and no music they turn it off everyone is forced to watch true vision with 24hour program about somdet pra chao yu hua. But cold beer, sang som, blend 285 and companion women is available. They close on on thursday and friday night, open on saturday but doesnt sell alcohol.

Not sure about the place with big rental at Nana or along Sukhumvit. But they should be back to normal since the alcohol ban already ends.

To be sure i think give it another week hopefully things should restore.

Soi Cowboy, Nana complex and other hot spots are operational as usual. They are subject to closure around 1-2am. There is no live music or loud musics. No bright displays as well. Alcohol is as usual.

7-11 started back alcohol sales from 11am 18/10/16 onwards.

I would say, everything is back to normal except it's not very loud or excessive.

Most tourist destinations are open as usual.

Wat Arun is under reconditioning but still open with limited access, Grand palace+Wat Phra Kaew is closed indefinitely for the funeral. Wat Pho is open as usual.

Respect their mourning. Wear muted color attire and in case if you want to get a glimpse of the funeral, prepare to queue up with thousands others in line to get in.

Safety wise, military and police everywhere. So, I felt it was safe enough and relaxed here.

Recommend to stay in Sukhumvit area.
