thai amulets, somdej khunpaen pidta

hiya guys. i just recently bought one thai amulet. my mum n auntie pester me nonstop to buy saying it will help me etc etc. anyways the amulet depicts a male sitting and a female hugging the male and there are 2 chickens under the male n female. may i know what kind of purpose is this amulet for? i know some amulets are for protection,wealth,luck etc. what about mine? and also how to properly care for it? heard a lot of things like must take it to temple for prayers regularly etc etc. help please.

The amulet used to be in a glass/plastic cover and its a 4 face Buddha. I accidentally broke it last time and after that my father just place it at the door's sidewindow. i am currently looking for a LP Pern Amulet. His Birthday AMules
about 3 colors and front have his face behind have the TIGER face..very verypowerful amulets...too bad nobody in malaysia have it...sigh

Interesting thread and read, guys. Seems like there are quite a handful of veterans and seasoned collectors in here. I'm not really in touch with the Malaysian Thai amulet collecting scene but just out of curiousity, how much can a genuine 1. Somdej Wat Rakang 100th Anniversary (recycled original material) and 2. Somdej Bangkhumprom (original by Somdej Buddhajharn Toh) fetch in Malaysia? |
