You will be qualified as an idiot if you really fall into this marketing trick. Bull fucking shit, no such thing as discontinue.
*
Er.. Technically it's correct. No more VIP plans for new applications. Existing users will all be upgraded.

guys, yesterday just upgraded to 30mbps from 10mbps.

but speedtest only get average 20mbps? i googled around and found similar problems about this.

so long story short, the only way to 'fix' it is by buying a new router?

mine is the tm provided orange/white dir-615 router, used since 2012...
*
Using LAN?

only wifi. router too far to use cable...

You have to try if it is also slow on LAN, then if it is, you can complain to TM.
Else, it is just router limitation.

QUOTE(diversity @ Dec 2 2016, 03:13 PM)
Currently on 30mbps package @ RM179.

I called TM just to ask about a minor issue.

They suddenly said I'm entitled for a promotional upgrade.

RM229

60MBPS + VOICE PLAN+ RUBY PACK

But the catch is, you HAVE to give a YES or NO now. They said their system is like that. Will randomly select people, but must give response immediately.

They said once I hang up, the offer may no longer be valid if I call back next time. But I said I still needed time to think first.

Why their promotion so funny one LOL
*
There's no 60Mbps package though.....

I don't feel at ease if they really got so called the 60mbps package also lol. Next time I got problem and call 100 the staffs will be stunned like eh why this guy's package never heard before one
That's why. Plus according to Budget 2017 we're suppose to get nearly X2 the speeds. If the 60mbps then how next year lol
*
All 30Mbps users will be upgraded to 50Mbps actually...

Pls advise.

Anyone know TM's ceo email address?

I wanna complaint regarding the UNIFI improvement programme that to upgrade the power adaptor for Alcatel Lucent supplied BTU.

Until now I haven't received the power adaptor and TM live chat asked me to deal with Alcatel....
*
laugh.gif Alcatel will not bother. It is TM's issue.

That why. I kept on tell the live chat XXX and he said this issue has nothing to deal with TM. Asked me to deal with Alcatel.

I called to Alcatel and they claimed they do not have customer service here. Here is finance/HR department.

vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

So I wanna complaint this issue to their CEO that they kicked me like a ball. I have chased this issue since May 2016 and that time the toll free number 1-800-88-1478 (the live chat said this belonged to Alcatel too) and was told tengah poslaju....poslaju till now Dec and received nothing.
*
laugh.gif Don't call ALu, they cannot do anything about it. tongue.gif

they came with citylink but that time i received no letter to inform about this replacement.

not dare to let them in since I was not at home to verify their identity.

I see, for mine, probably they made too many attempts but I wasn't at home, so they gave up and left it in my mail box.

necessary to replace?

Heard it is to prevent fire. I guess you can use any adaptor, no issue on it. I still use the old adaptor some times for my other device. laugh.gif

Issues/Questions with the so called 'apply for upgrade'

Who?
When?
How?
Where?

Now I am pissed off with TM:
How  many  customers  will  be eligible for the BIP2017 ?
-More than 500,000 UniFi customers will be eligible for the speed upgrade.
-About 100,000 Streamyx customers will be eligible for the new package to be introduced in June 2017.

Now TM has 2.37 million broadband customers, of which over 900,000 are UniFi customers (2013 data from TM 2016 Annual report), so, there are 1.47 million adsl/streamyx user.......and only 100K of streamyx users will be eligible for some sort of new package?  puke.gif  puke.gif  puke.gif
*
You will be surprised that many are still not yet on Advance packages.
