quite a number of ppl that i asked, they submitted to agent with "booking fee" got their registration number much faster and able to secure the unit even tho haven't ballot.
other friends who submitted application for pandanmas with 5k booking also got their reg no. plus their unit number dy after ballot.
so yeah... developer prefer to have money in advance to roll rather than waiting for dbkl

15k is abit "much", but this money goes into dp eventually.
Lanai project at buki jalil doesn't required "booking fees" at all, but it's 300k... (same size and no pool...)
198k is affordable, 300k= 1.5k installment per month included maintenance. Ini rumah tak mampu beli dah in this case.
But now some ppl lose interest into wangsamas as there are plenty of options out there (superb location like desamas, jalilmas, lanai) therefore waiting list / registration without booking fees might get it
