Nintendo Switch -> " You are on queue ..... Your queue number is xxx "
Bomberman R -> " Your order is confirmed. Your Poslaju tracking number is xxx "

Hopefully can get it. Else i will be looking like a dummy with only game cartridge without the console lol ~
*
Did you preordered from Impulse? Mind sharing your queue number? I ordered 15 minutes after I saw the post and was queued at 24. Apparently they started taking order 1 day before the announcement. Hopefully there's at least 24 units on day 1.

just curious,if impulse have stock during launch, but his pricing rm1800, you also need to purchase? else lost rm50?
*
Well it is standard price across the board. If there's any difference, it will only be around RM10 but yea, usually standard price. I shop in Impulse 90% of the time and their price is always one of the lowest.

If the Switch is import and not officially launching in Asia, that would be a problem for inconsistent pricing, but since Maxsoft is distributing, I'm sure the price will be the same. And also plus the fact that they explicitly stated that their price will be very competitive so don't worry is definitely reassuring.

i preordered at impulse and my slot is 40
i think they will get more than 50
i hope sweat.gif

2 millions worldwide, as long as they don't repeat PS4 Pro, we should be fine. Also a lot of people aren't happy with the pricing/games offered, hopefully lesser people will buy in Malaysia. I'm number 24, so pray hard too.

QUOTE(anythin @ Jan 18 2017, 04:02 PM)
Haha need to do research first i guess..otherwise will wait for xenoblade 2 launch first before buying the switch
*
Was initially planning on waiting Mario since I can play zelda on Wii U, but knowing we are in Malaysia where everything increases in price instead of dropping Plus the availability... better secure one unit early. Maybe if you're in other country, they have black friday and something else, the price will be lowered.

I might get it but $50 is a little steep. It looks fun mainly for party, maybe will find a used copy or something.

Honestly 1 2 switch is such a great game to just bring around. The fact that you are already bringing 2 controllers and a screen around is so easy to set up and play anytime. $20 or $30 would've bought it sad.gif

Considering bomberman, online seems cool, still waiting for final price. If it's $60 I'm out.

Sorry to bust your bubble, it does seem like all switch games are priced at 60. Amazon already has bomberman for pre-order.
*
Most of them are placeholder price, Bomberman price is still not finalized.

That's pretty sweet. Curious to know what the final price is, guess only time will tell
*
Honestly won't be surprised if it ends up to be $60. Considering that bestbuy, amazon all listed $60. Plus Impulse is already taking order RM249. Usually when they aren't sure about the price, they won't put it out. Freaking Street Fighter 2 cost $40.

Guyz, any recommend places to pre-order. My usual gamers places' Impulse did not have the (Blue/Red) Switch version. Only the black one sad.gif
*
There's not a single shop in Malaysia that knows whether they have blue/red switch (even though they will have it), so any shops they tells you can preorder selected color is bs. As for Impulse, I asked them already and they confirmed after getting the final information, they will let every early preorder customer to choose color, if there's no color to choose then the rest will be assigned accordingly unless you are willing to wait.

Well Maxsoft is distributing the Switch, prices should be more or less fixed if not only RM10 or 20 difference. But yea, GH is not really the cheapest solution compared to others. Their switch game preorder price is already more expensive.

In Sgp, the Nintendo Switch pre order need to bundle with Zelda and 1,2 Switch for SGD 139....

So for Msia, so far so good? No need bundle with games?
*
Not sure if that is official SKU or they are doing it themselves. You mean zelda + 1,2 Switch for additional SGD139 on top of the console price?

Oh god this is a nightmare. Qisahn, one of the famous SG store also confirmed this. Since Malaysia is also distributed by Maxsoft, we will be in this mess too. Looks like I'm getting 1,2 damn switch.

Edit : YEAP, IT'S REAL, just checked with local shops. What the hell man, Nintendo of America was like, we didn't include pack in game because we want you to make the decision.

Not worth the trouble. The bundle will most likely be cheaper. Zelda is a locked in day 1 and they will probably make us pay around $30 for 1,2 switch, which is fair enough. Better than importing, wasting the $30 on shipping and no warranty.

That is still extra money that I do not want to pay. What Maxsoft is doing in general is anti-consumer and is an obvious money grab. This shit wouldn't fly if it was in the US, UK or Japan.

Being complacent and justifying it as a better alternative is too Malaysian.
*
Well, first of all, considering that there's no Nintendo of Malaysia to make a complaint, there's literally nothing we can do but NOT buy it/spend more money importing it. Also finding an import unit from US/JP is almost impossible at this point. Console market is not big enough in Asia or more specifically Malaysia for Nintendo of America to do something about it. If you are so upset about Maxsoft, vote with your money, make an online petition that will change nothing or suggest something good. To think that Malaysia wasn't even listed as one of the official launch country is enough to see how much Nintendo care about SEA. But if you plan on importing, sure, why not. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely agree with you, I've been through this EVERY single console launch because somehow they manage to screw us up, and every single discussion will involve someone saying the same thing, some rebuttal and somehow an online petition to change stuff, but the truth is, our small market don't matter to them. Look at both of the recent case of PS4 Pro and PSVR launch, both funny cases.

For what it's worth though, local shops are not announcing the bundle yet, most probably because they are trying to do something about it or appealing with Maxsoft. A lot of Malaysia stores actually got the news but haven't mention a thing about it.

Maxsoft is a "wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo Japan". They are our direct link to Nintendo and they happen to be the main culprit in this issue. Luckily they have a 'complaint' address feedbacks@maxsoftonline.com which I suggest we fill it to the max with our complaint.

Besides, I don't think you give the Malaysian and Singaporean market enough credit. Why would Nintendo bother releasing a Malaysia, Singapore and UAE edition of console and games if " our small market don't matter to them." Maxsoft exists as a company to cater to the demand of these market. The problem is only a few of us complain and the rest just seems to accept it making it that much easier for companies like Maxsoft to just keep doing what they're doing.
*
Well at least the good news is there's Hong Kong and a lot other Asia countries backing us up now. And apparently shops aren't happy about this decision too, that's why a lot of the shops are still keeping quiet. I find it weird for maxsoft to confirm a bundle without pricing and hk/sg stores immediately announce it.

maxshit being maxshit? not surprised
edit: I saw someone ask if better to get from play-asia instead... don't. their typical mark up price + getting charged with gst when entering the country is pretty much about the same or less a bit if you get that shitty maxshit forced bundle (granted that I have no idea about both pricing, but thinking of play-asia not marking up the price is a wish that never will be fulfilled, especially when the item is a hot stuff & new)
*
And on top of that, the super slow shipment will kill you.

Yearly payment for Nintendo online expected to be lower than USD30.00 - according to Nintendo spokesman. Google it for the source.

IMHO, much friendly price tag compare to Sony/Microsoft.
*
Sony is charging Malaysia PS+ 1 year for $29. Considering Nintendo won't be having Malaysia currency, we will be paying the $30 or below for sure. Estimated price was $20~$30, so let's put it $25.

$29 vs $25

PS+ we get a minimum of 2 PS3, 2 PSV and 2~6 PS4 games for active sub lifetime. (God of war 3 remastered, tales of zestiria, until dawn, LBP3, gravity rush and old/new indies)

Nintendo online we get 1 NES/SNES rental for a month.

I don't see the friendly price tag in Malaysia.

Do you know how many units of Nintendo switch will Impulse be taking for their preorder customers?

Maxsoft doesn't even know the price yet. But judging from past launches, each shop should get maybe 50 ? Unless it's PS4 Pro, where entire Malaysia gets like 100 units.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED A UNIT EVEN IF YOU PAID A DEPOSIT/FULL PAYMENT.

It's possible that even Impulse are not sure.

Good news/Bad news

1) WE CAN NOW CONFIRM THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO FULFILL ALL CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE PAID A DEPOSIT.
2) All Nintendo Switch will now be bundled with 2 games, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1, 2 Switch. This is a compulsory bundle.
3) Because of this new development, we now allow customers who have paid a deposit of RM50 to get a refund.
4) Expected pricing of the console will be revised upwards due to the bundle, we will update again once we have any news!
5) We are also being allocated the Neon Joycon bundle, earlier paid preorders will get to choose which bundle they want once we finalize allocation.
