Looks like Malaysia won't be day 1 after all. Usually I will be very angry about delays like the PSVR and Pro case, but first time ever I'm happy for the delay.
Extra time for me to play Horizon.


Edit : Just saw some extra comments from their post, seems like the estimated price will be RM16xx. If this is true, I can absolutely live with that. Considering the base price was already estimated to be 14xx, plus zelda already 16xx~17xx. Now with 2 games only 16xx is a steal.

I'm fully prepared to pay around 2k. Very surprised impulse said around 1.6k

Most shop estimated price is around 1.4k to begin with. $300 = RM1.4k is quite crazy.
Zelda is a sure buy, which cost RM250, IF it is really 1.6k or near 1.7k, still a steal.

One day, maybe Nintendo will acknowledge us...

EXACTLY. They deliver the good games, we play them. Simple as that. It's a freaking. god. damn. Nintendo console. Who cares about ANYTHING aside from fun games. Ever since post-game cube era we've been getting the same style of Nintendo. There was never strong 3rd party support, even so they are making games that is different on the Wii. The fact that switch launches years after PS4/xbone and years before the next generation is exactly why Nintendo is in its own league. If you are even remotely playing games, there's no way that you don't have a PS4 or PC.

People who is considering to get Switch exclusively, don't tell me you've been camping out 3~4 years JUST to hope for a Switch that plays call of duty, battlefield or uncharted.... If you are seriously planning on surviving solely on Switch, for sure you have no interest on games outside of Nintendo stuff.
Who cares about 32gb internal storage when you can expand it, that is not a deal breaker at all.
Who cares about YouTube app when the console doesn't even have 4G support, you have a freaking phone.
Who cares about USB 2 or 3, how is that a deal breaker?

It's cool that people are expressing different opinions because we don't need an echo chamber praising about it. If nintendo makes stupid decision, we discuss how bad it is, i.e. paid online service that rents you games. That is stupid. But IF paying $20 a year to rent games/play online to play some of your "favorite" franchise is a deal breaker, that is called nitpicking and justifying not to buy it. These are stuffs that AFFECTS your gameplay experience, NOT 32gb memory, USB 2 or other funny stuff.

People nitpicking stuff to justify NOT to purchase is funny. Although, please don't buy it so I can make sure my unit arrives day 1.

I asked Impulse, they say price still unconfirmed, they are loosely saying they will be cheaper, don't quote me on that.

I find it weird that GH is the one and only shop confirming price. Since everybody is from Maxsoft, wouldn't all shops announced it already?
Maybe every shops are in shock too and trying to secure oversea stocks.


RM100 extra is a joke man.... They know neon bundle is high demand so they earn that extra RM100. There's NO WAY, even for maxsoft, price both bundle differently. This is GH's doing.

They used to follow standard price, but sometimes RM10 extra. Recently they mark up price for everything significantly.
I hope this is really just their price and not the standard price.

If it's around 2.2k, I'm good. I will play BOTW on Wii U until some shops can secure cheap import units few months down the line. The next switch game i MUST play is Odyssey anyway.
I have the money to afford 2.2k, but I just don't want to let Maxsoft rip me off with that price... Buying a $300 device that cost more than a PS4 Pro, nice joke.

The extra RM100 is very shady of GH. Let's see if other shop does it too, but for now, this absolutely makes me avoid GH at all cost.
Funny how import duty and all other stuff comes into play exclusively for Switch. Past console Wii U, 3DS, PS4 all priced so fairly.


Again, very sure the RM100 extra is just GH's doing.
I prepared RM2k for worst case, just in case suddenly MYR goes down again because I plan to get one regardless of bundles or not, jokes on me.
400usd PS4 Pro only cost RM1.8k but Switch bundle cost RM2.5k...
Really considering on pulling my pre-order, i just felt stupid if I seriously cave in.

HeavyArms didn't even speak a single thing about Switch yet.

IF impulse can really secure 2099, i will most probably stick with my order and reconsider some titles because of budget. It's like paying an extra phantom game for this price, so I have to give up most probably Arms/Splatoon 2. I really don't want to play Zelda on my Wii U


Honestly at this point, every shop is pretty much completely open up their preorder, as in, you can pay deposit and take back anytime because of all the new ridiculous stuff keep piling up. I won't do full payment until the very last week of launch, scout around if any other shops are importing.


The thing is, outside Asia... japan and US completely out of stock. Even if they eventually secure some stock from there, import duty + bla bla bla will allow them to set the price quite high too. And seeing the local bundle so expensive, they can EASILY get away with setting the price at RM1.7k, people who really don't want 1,2 switch can still save RM100+ from the bundle.

currency exchange + import + other stuff, you will most probably end up at 1.6 or 1.7k (as estimated from some shops)
Zelda alone cost RM260, you will be around RM2k already. Might as well add RM100, hassle free and local warranty.


In Malaysia, if you want anything, better buy it at launch before MYR goes down further. Seeing how Switch doesn't have a standard price, risky to wait.

Oh yea, definitely waiting is the best option no doubt. For people who is super impatient like me, 2099 is really the best option.
As impatient as I am, 2.2k might turn me off.

If Impulse really 2099 for both colors, should I pay that extra RM50 just for neon? hmm..

Qisahn does ship to Malaysia for free, although it will take maybe a week or lesser. I think Impulse shipping is free too? There are some shops that charge for console shipping even for launch console. If Impulse charge RM30~40, I might go with the grey.
