My friends just ask impulse about the price. They also not yet have the actual price yet. But they said should be around rm2k++ too.

oh ok.
then assuming usd-myr exchange rate is 4.5
[(300*1.1)+110]*1.06*4.5=~RM2100
I guess that import duty for consoles threw many ppl off since not many people (including me) know that. taking consideration of their own profit, price not really surprising now. but there's a flaw with this logic as obviously gh doesn't take the stock @ retail price from maxshit, so yeah this current situation is still scummy enough
not to mention extra RM100 for neon ones doh.gif

btw do we have pricing from Singapore yet?

I'm just gonna say ... TQVM la MAXSOFT for being greedy!! Without the additional 1,2 Switch game which is more like a demo unit, it can be less than that. RM100 difference between grey and neon unit? What a bunch of baloney! I know regardless of the price many people will still buy it, it will still sell well cos consumers here always baik & terima saja whatever distributor/sellers throw at them. Glad I did not preorder it. But this has always been the case for anything popular launched in Malaysia, like the person who bought an iPhone for RM6000 or RM8000. Malaysians never hesitate to spend thousands on gadgets but always complain when minyak naik biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

The extra RM100 is very shady of GH. Let's see if other shop does it too, but for now, this absolutely makes me avoid GH at all cost.
Funny how import duty and all other stuff comes into play exclusively for Switch. Past console Wii U, 3DS, PS4 all priced so fairly.

Again, very sure the RM100 extra is just GH's doing.
I prepared RM2k for worst case, just in case suddenly MYR goes down again because I plan to get one regardless of bundles or not, jokes on me.
400usd PS4 Pro only cost RM1.8k but Switch bundle cost RM2.5k...
Really considering on pulling my pre-order, i just felt stupid if I seriously cave in.

When one start to put a pricetag with rm2k, there is no doubt others will follow the course of rm2k.

So let's give Maxshaft a round of applause for the 2.4k bundle.
I'm cancelling my preorder once Impulse officially announce the final price.

I think most of the local game shop here the price will be the same. Maybe some will cheaper by rm100 or so.
Since Malaysia only got one Nintendo distributor only.

ikr. that's why that 10% import duty comment by someone in that reddit post throw me off a bit. i guess it's taken into consideration for new imported console, not well established ones lol. pretty sure pre-price cut 3ds back then was 1k+ when the currency exchange during that time is less than 3.5

FYI. There is no import duty for video games, console are devices. I have import 2 set of Rock back 4 bundle from oversea and it were hold by custom and when I collect, I just need to pay 6% gst.
