Agree!!! no more stupid tripod for just few photos but burden the whole trip.

then bump up ISO. high iso with enough exposure isn't that bad for noise. even in daytime shooting with iso 400 or 800 with higher shutter speed sometimes looks better to me. sharp + a little bit noise better than clean + a little bit blur.

Panasonic to close three departments and cut jobs

More job cuts at Panasonic as losses continue to pile up for the the electronics giant, the MoneyDJ reports.

According to reports, the company will be closing three departments that are not making money, named as digital camera, private branch exchange (PBX), and compact disc.

There are also plans to sell the LCD production line, the semiconductor business, and the solar cell business.

One of the two LCD production lines at Hyōgo, Japan is going to cease production soon, as the company searches a buyer for the facility.

In 2012, Panasonic suffered significant losses after its plasma display panel (PDP) division failed. The company cut a large number of jobs, ended its television production lines in USA and mainland China, and stepped out of the smart phone market.

The latest round of job cuts is another significant change made by the company since its major restructuring in 2012.

guys, wanna ask u guys for opinion. i m getting a camera for short trip and also to snap my toddler photo. im thinking of getting an used EP5. what do you guys think about the EP5? i personally likes the design of EP5 as it looks really retro. another camera which i quite interested is the GF9.. any other camera which provides excellent image quality, noise handling and colour rendering besides the OMD series? budget is a problem too

You hand-held the shots is it? Really quite sharp this Rokinon 7.5mm. Love the greens

I think 9mm (after converting the 12-32 with a wide-angle converter) is the widest for me at the moment, can't accept the distortion at the background sometimes, but this can be easily corrected in pp.

why la lens price won't drop like body pricing 

Most of the shots from my 9mm (converted 12-32) are surprisingly straight enough unless you observe closely, very little straightening needed. But for the 7.5 I am pretty sure you will need straightening or 'de-fish' is this the term photog use (like someonesim) to straightening a hugely distorted image he he..learn a new word

Lenses are better investment in the long run than cam bodies which is true in the old days but apparently this trend has become rather blur/obsolete in the digital world as newer more modern versions are produced, even more so for cam bodies. One lens I find that defies this is the Panny 20/1.7, still a gem in our m4/3 world, hey it is the one and only 20mm lens! I have my 1st 20mm in 2009 and I still have one in my bag, 8 years later  Though I don't shoot it much this days.   
Ya our curiosity sometimes got the better of us and we just had to have a hands-on, itchy mah...

I normally spend hours and hours doing research and dong a lot of reading before deciding. See, your lucky already, one hour only?  Very well spent

GF8 no doubt despite it being a 16mp sensor only but its newer, smaller and has much more lens selection. But if you can get a cheaper A5000 then why not?
