QUOTE(COOLPINK @ Mar 8 2019, 05:02 PM) kalau i jepun ambik em5m2 balik kampung tu. come to think of it any camera you take go japan consider balik kampung. (except hasselblad and kodak) Our beloved m4/3 cameras are mostly made elsewhere other than Japan, despite being designed in Japan. Canon who is the largest name has their cameras made in japan. The 80d, m50 i owned are all "Made in Japan"

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 22 2019, 04:47 PM) It's sharp and lots of micro details, just like macro lens. It's slow at focusing too, just like macro lens I think might be too slow for street. Oly 75mm f1.8 is really really damn sharp lens, and focus as fast as most m43 prime. QUOTE(incubus_skj @ Mar 22 2019, 04:58 PM) did someone say 75mm f1.8

QUOTE(incubus_skj @ Mar 27 2019, 04:31 PM) best laaa for me i think i'll just wait and see what's in store for Sony's A7Riv , since the Riii a bit dated liao i just want a 35mm and 50mm prime man... siao meh RM9k just for a 50mm lens Agreed, even Sony's 50mm, which have been rebutted so many times due to its pricing has no match to the Pana Leica 50mm, 11 X more expensive than the sony's I wonder is the IQ 11X better?

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 27 2019, 11:16 PM) I agreed. Just back from Lumix S1/S1R touch and try event, that big grip somehow dont feel comfortable. OMG the weight is real, remind me of my friend's 5D4 + 24 105 Comparable weight to 5dm4?

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 28 2019, 09:51 PM) After years of using Olympus mirrorless system, even with 40-150 pro lens, I can hold comfortably almost whole day. Lumix S1 + 24 105 f4 kit lens, my finger muscle strained after 15 minutes holding but I suspect un-ergonomic grip contributed as well ( or at least dont fit me well ). Body alone it weighs over 1kg and with lens that's nearly 2 kgs of dead weight. The S1 or S1R is so high-spec'ed I am sure there will be buyers looking for such a machine.

QUOTE(COOLPINK @ Apr 2 2019, 01:17 PM) no doubt the performance of the s1r is there but the size...... i think the gh5 will remain as the best videographer camera around because it is designed specifically for it. the s1 is kinda of a hybrid. Comparing features it seem the S1 series beats almost all the contemporary FF bodies out there. Is this the trend for the future? Missorless FF?

QUOTE(Wild Honey @ Apr 3 2019, 07:17 PM) bobds78 Why are you selling you E-M1 Mk2? Thought you just bought it? Selling for Pana S1R? Just gotten A7m3 bro and not using the m1 mark 2 at all, so might as well let it go to someone who will treat it right

yeah laowa is much much cheaper at around 2k and so tiny some more, i liked the rectilinear feature of the laowa 7.5mm and center sharpness. I haven't tried the Oly 7-14mm but from what I 'd read the 7-14mm is way better, considering it is a PRO series lens, not fair to compare

QUOTE(incubus_skj @ Apr 4 2019, 11:51 AM) what's a rectilinear anyway cause i saw the pics, it's still distorted wat If you are holding the camera horizontally you will find it hard to see distorted images. Rectilinear means straight lines appear as straight lines and not curved. This I think is the biggest strength of the Laowa 7.5mm f2 and also, awesome as a drone lens in view of its wide FOV and sharp images. This post has been edited by bobds78: Apr 4 2019, 12:15 PM
