very TRUE. my 2008 BLM fc is at 7.2 km/ l since day 1. i would not buy this older model. but the car chasis is really good.

btw, ron 95 is cheap jow at 1.38/ l. i wonder how much to fill a full tank from the red line on the metre?
*
Your car may have issue if your FC is 7.2KM/L unless day day endure heavy traffic jam or you r super heavy right footer..

less than RM50 full tank

consistently like that? no right signal, left signal blink 2 times only?

Havae you check the hazard light switch and the signal flasher module?

I replaced my hazard light switch twice and the flasher module once over the span of 8y but not once on my signal lever assembly unit

It is not the tak tak tak sound that follows engine rev. But the sound more noticeable when start engine from cold. After running for a while it will slowly soften but still can hhear it. Found one recording in YouTube. Very similar.

Is it okay to leave it as-is, or better send for repair?

if have budget get it fixed or replaced..
There is some cases where the butterfly inside the iafm break into pieces. some luckily enough the butterfly still in big pieces stucked just before the inlet valves. some cases where the pieces small enough gone into the cylinders.... GG

Some IAFM the screw at the pulley loosen and gone causing the butterfly to vibrate.

Some IAFM have a defective iafm actuator which is replaceable/repairable.

Some genius claimed that "repair" as in removing the butterfly inside IAFM/Intake Manifold and sealing off the pulley area. there is a case i read from a FB group where the workmanship is too poor, the patches of glue or whatsoever fell off from the patch area causing the RPM to shoot up while owner was driving the car as the throttle body no longer able to control air going into the intake manifold. Dangerous!

**removing the butterfly inside IAFM will caused our Campro become even more petrol thirsty as torque dip around mid rpm is inevitable..

If your IAFM is beyond repairable, just get it replaced with new IAFM or Iriz/Persona vvt intake. If you are a track guy, heavy right footer or red-liner, those metal intake manifold from older gen2 might be aa good choice..

there are aftermarket parts too, cheaper, parts alone RM200~ish but reliability i'm not sure...

Im using 2nd set original proton mountings, first set from AAI, nw 2nd set from TRIM vendor.

Cost me like 600+ for parts and labour

Is good, but wallet not. tongue.gif
Just a bit of modding and repairing.

BTW, anyone know the part name and part number for the plastic cover near the engine and front right wheel? Not the daun pisang/fender liner.
The cover for crank pulley/belting.
Better if you know any on shopee or lazada.

Hi guys, it's been a month of MCO and I do not need to drive to work for the past month. After the first 2 weeks, I tried starting my car and it went great, nevertheless I drove my car out for like 2km before letting it rest again.

Then yesterday (another 2 weeks roughly) I tried starting my car again but this time, it wont start even the car alarm sounds weird as in like not enough battery for the alarm.

So I jump started my car today, managed to get it up but my CVT light is blinking. I drove another 5 km before parking and let it rest again. Anyone knows what happened to what have caused the CVT light to blink?

Previously when my CVT light is on (not blinking, stayed on) was when my third brake lamp was burned. But today it's not due to that and it's blinking instead of stayed on.

Hi,
I'm literally a noob when it comes to cars.
I tried to start my car today but the engine light is on and it goes with tak tak sound when I tried to start it.
Does anyone know why?
Thanks in advance.
