haha...was doing the same thing. plus the remote provided is much better (in my opinion) than the steering controls
installed a jvc unit earlier this month, sometimes hang after start car when the mode is in usb dont know why. have to reset the unit all ok

last time had this issue with stock HU.. when put usb, it will hang.. after reset the fuse then it worked fine.. but clarion technician said its a common issue when use 8gb and higher storage usb..

i see, just have to live with it then didnt happen when i was using the stock player
...maybe the flac files did it?
