QUOTE(SKYjack @ Jul 16 2017, 10:05 AM) The size of engine does not matter. This engine is not tuned for Ron 97, Ron 95 works perfectly fine. Ron 97 is a waste of money as long as the engine is stock. yeah agree BHP is the best. However you may still get slightly better response on Ron 97, this is due to performance additives to premiums fuel. Since each Company has it's own additive, performance varies. In my experiment I found BHP to be best. There is no harm in using Ron 97. If the engine is tuned for Ron97 then you'll get far better performance. but Shell dynaflex also not bad, engine very smooth. |

hi guys,
recently my fiesta got humming sound from front driver side wheel. based on my reading on internet, i learned that the wheel bearing may be the cause. anyone replace the bearing before? need to know how much it cost. thanks |

QUOTE(Gorhom @ Jul 17 2017, 01:06 PM) Hi Everyone !! My daily commute is also 40km +/- one way. My car's gearbox is working just fine since I travel highway almost 80% of the time which would wear out the gearbox slower than driving the car in city.I thinking to buy a second hand Ford Fiesta EcoBoost 1.0 2014, but I notice that many members are reporting gearbox issues and jerking at lower speed ,, etc ,, my daily commute is about 50km ,, my concern is ,, will the FF gonna be worthy reliable !? or other option to get Proton iriz 2017 1.6? thanks in advance |

QUOTE(Gorhom @ Jul 17 2017, 01:06 PM) Hi Everyone !! The ecoboost variant have less to none of the gearbox problems. It's the 1.6 & 1.5 a bit problematic.I thinking to buy a second hand Ford Fiesta EcoBoost 1.0 2014, but I notice that many members are reporting gearbox issues and jerking at lower speed ,, etc ,, my daily commute is about 50km ,, my concern is ,, will the FF gonna be worthy reliable !? or other option to get Proton iriz 2017 1.6? thanks in advance |

IMHO Ecoboost 1.0 is a worthy buy if you can find a well priced second hand. |

QUOTE(Gorhom @ Jul 17 2017, 01:06 PM) Hi Everyone !! Long term maintenance will be high on this engine, since only 1000cc & extracting quite a bit of hp. Iris being new will have warranty coverage. NA will be cheaper to maintain on long term. The 1.6engine will not be working as hard. Handling quite respectable! FC may be marginally higher, eco boost engine is more efficient. |

QUOTE(GalaxiasWilliam @ Jul 19 2017, 11:31 AM) wear and tear parts will die sooner or later. FYI a can turbo spool up to 150,000 rpm, normally its 100,000 rpm. thats why the turbo unit is the first part that will most likely to go first. the feeling when the boost kicks in hhnnnnnnnnngh! Once taste a turbo, there's no turning back....lol!the only added maintenance is just the turbo unit when it dies. As long as one is aware and prepared for higher maintenance cost on long term, then it's fine. General wear & tear will also be higher on a Turbo engine than a NA. |

If you can find a used MT 1.6 Iriz, grab that and don't look back. (heck even the 1.3 MT Iriz is no slouch at all.) Siape tu Driven normally, modern turbos don't die easily, just follow the maintenance schedule, feed it good oil, some preventative maintenance. Oh turbo cars would benefit greatly from Oil Catch Tanks also, tho that would be an aftermarket part and kacau warranty. Of course if you hari2 overboost 20 times, both your turbo and engine also die faster so yeah overboost hari hari |
