Coming to work this morning in rainy weather, suddenly got a high revving sound while in low gear and this message : Transmission Malfunction, Service Now.
Possibly TCM or Clutch? 2010 Fiesta, first batch then...

Just went to start up the car......no transmission error message but the engine/system warning light is up on the meter dashboard. Have to send in for diagnostics I guess. Well, SDAC called me back and my car is ready. According to them, TCM fault and changed the unit. No charges I presume since they didn't mention anything.

I don't race so I can compromise performance for comfort. Based on tire shop suggestion....Michelin XM2 and Continental CC6. Bear in mind these tires are quiet when new, but as it wears down it will become noisier. But yea the stock Continentals are very noisy. So much so at one point I suspected it was my wheel bearing kong and asked the SC to check it. The SA tell me to change tire lol This post has been edited by dares: Apr 27 2017, 01:27 AM

After changing my TCM, the acceleration feels sluggish compared to previously. Have to ask the SC to check again on my next service I guess...that's what I really don't like about SDAC, always need a follow up to clear up the issues. Side note, anyone noticed the sales volume for Ford in the 1st quarter of 2017? 100+ passenger cars only in the 3 months
