hmmm let me check that again .. i swear i saw the two monitor system at my office is using some sort of splitter ..  tongue.gif
*
No such thing as a splitter for that kind of thing. Except the Matrox Triple Head2Go, which makes the PC think it's facing 3840x1024 monitor, and no, it still needs dual link DVI and it must be stiched with 3 19in monitors.

People still do use 2 monitors than we actually use to connect our GCs to HDMI devices and even if that happens, we can use a converter since the GC doesn't output any sound anyways.

any1 can clarify on this?

i never use ati since their 9XXX series

i use now 7300gt and conside wan to upgrade to mid range dx10 later

Image quality of both Nvidia and ATI is on par now. Yes, ATI used to have better image quality(especially 2D) during the 9xxx era. But now, both companies are more or less on par.

Not sure about the pricing, but those specs are wrong (unless things have changed significantly since 2 months ago).

if the pricing true, it look x2800gt my choice, price slighly same with 8800gts 320mb, same shader, but big memory and faster clock....

hope the spec will remain like this or better until official launch in march...

Kind of agree, looks like someone took ATI's lineup and substitute the "1" with "2" lol...

However, its probably a decent indication based on what we have now (vs Nvidia DX10 cards). In the past year ATI have managed to come up with card after card that slightly underperforms their competition (X1300,X1600) in the low-mid range.
I do hope they'll do what they manage to do with the 1650XT/1950Pro, cos I love using ATI catalyst (oops fanboy alert...)

Hmm, I wonder if ati will improve their gc power efficiency. Correct me if I'm wrong, the N7xxx series beat the X1xxx series in power efficiency by a lot. And ati pricing in malaysia lean toward nvidia, ati cards are more expensive here vs nvidia compared to pricing in the US.
