QUOTE(isr25 @ Oct 13 2016, 09:29 AM) For the beeping problem, i switched the touchscreen sensitivity to low. Solved the issue for me, and no noticeable difference with the default high setting. I did the same. But that doesn't mean there isn't an issue. Honda still needs to resolve the issue especially since only 3 of us have it so far I think.

QUOTE(munky @ Oct 13 2016, 05:15 PM) yes. Ask him to ask the technician to drive it. I dont mind as long as i dont have to go back to SC to complain. For me to even reach the first 1000km also gonna take a long time as i dont travel far If u don't drive that much why even spend so much on a car?

QUOTE(tayman @ Oct 13 2016, 08:44 PM) guys, can I ask how long it takes for your car to arrive? I just book a ruby red 1.8 today and the SA told me need to find car. Btw, izit weird when a guy in 20s drive ruby red civic? I sort like the colour. There is a reason why sales for the ruby red has not been good even for the City what more for the Civic. I've heard talk that Honda is already planning to discontinue the color. Ure gonna have a hard time selling in future if you choose that color. I like red too but surely not the Honda version of it. Makes the car look a bit 'sissy'.

QUOTE(munky @ Oct 14 2016, 09:42 AM) No way im gonna buy a peugeot or VW. I normally change car every 5 years so RV is kinda good to have Those who buy conti cars don't bother about resale value. We buy it for the driving dynamics. And once you drive a conti, ull never go back to a Japanese car. Its just 2 different worlds. And u can still own a conti and change every 5 yrs but you have to be a smart buyer. Never buy a brand new launch. Getting a 1 yr old conti e.g BMW is good value because the previous owner has absorbed a lot of the drop in the resale value and the original manufacturer's warranty is transferable. There are many wannabes who rush and buy a brand new conti then after about 1 yr cant stand the high instalments and end up selling. For instance, a brand new BMW 520i LCI last year was RM367K. But due to year end promo's, you could buy a zero mileage 2015 model then for only 303K with a lot of freebies. Currently the 2016 model 520i comes with the M Sports package (worth 50K) and is only selling for 275K. See how the price has dropped? QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ Oct 14 2016, 11:32 AM) The conti that holds value best are Mercs. BMW is notorious for killing the resale value to get the sales numbers up with "pre-reg" promos. Over the years, I feel that the BMW brand has lost it's appeal and shine compared to Mercedes. Today, if I were to choose between an AMG Mercedes or M BMW equivalent, I'll take the AMG! More more daring, exclusive and exciting. Sadly despite being a BMW fan and owner, I would have to agree with you on all your points above. The newly launched G30 is testament that BMW is still not willing to evolve in line with its competition especially Mercedes.

QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ Oct 14 2016, 02:57 PM) I enjoy driving the Civic. Nice balance of everything, easy to drive, comfortable, luxurious for its class and feels nice. Can't really explain why it feels nice, but it just feels that way behind the wheel.
There are cars out there which are exciting, and gets your heart racing, but harder to live with on a day to day basis. I think the Civic is an easier to live with daily driver over say an A250 or CLA. Yes the Civic is the first Japanese car which really impressed me with its driving dynamics. If I was driving blindfolded, I might have been fooled into thinking its a conti.

QUOTE(babyblue89 @ Oct 14 2016, 04:34 PM) I just went second services. My mileage 10k plus services together with engine oil Your mileage was 10K when you did your 2nd service? How is that possible with a Turbo since normally you would need to service earlier.

QUOTE(twintower177 @ Oct 18 2016, 10:07 PM) Just book civic 1.8 Lunar Silver on last Sunday and loan approved. Now waiting for number plate.
Can anyone please advise which security tint good for our civic? Currently in consideration of LLumar and 3M. Not sure where ure from. But if ure in KL then head over to Regal Valet near TTDI. They will arrange for Llumar to come and install their Diamond 6 security tint. Its RM2,800 and they do an excellent job. You can also get the Civic club member price for the GYEON MOHS+ coating with 4 yrs warranty.

QUOTE(v88 @ Nov 8 2016, 08:51 AM) Noticed that the civic's turn signal has to flip 2 level that can stay on the permanent to have turning signals. not quite used to it, the 1 level seems stay 2-3 seconds only. Its called a one touch signal. Common feature in BMW and Mercs.
