Sigh now MM quite far in front in the points already.

Ducati should've just set the strategy from now on that JL should be supporting Dovi. Dovi was faster than JL but just cannot pass. If JL had let him go, Dovi might stand a chance to keep up with MM.

The factory Yamaha are also hopeless, they should just reverted to Zarco's bike instead!
*
Last time JL ahead, JL said he was helping Dovi get a tow because he is faster, I was expecting same comment after the race but the race ended early for them.

Now that the factory Yamaha boys are struggling, he doesn't have as much challenges as he just needs to keep an eye on Dovi.

Btw Pedrosa is not happy with the race decision.
*
From my POV incident started when Dovi ran wide and took JL with him, DP saw a gap and went for it, JL just closed in from a different line and BANG!. It's a racing incident and all contributed but I think JL should have looked behind. He knew DP was there and should have been more careful. Such bad luck for DP, he seems very disappointed, he may retire at the end of the season.

sorry typo, it's meant to be JL and Pedrosa.  tongue.gif

true bout the Yamaha, but overall the consistency is just not there. they keep experimenting and tinkering with the bikes which make winning that few races like flash in the pan.  smile.gif
*
True, why fix something that's not broken.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 7 2018, 11:42 AM)
Yamaha surely has gone the wrong direction with their bike development as proven by Zarco in the satellite team.
*
Zarco riding a year-old(2 year old?) bike which has done extensive development and previous race data. Even rookie HS adapted easily(although in Jerez he had a sore bum and could not ride properly). That being said, Yamaha development team hasn't been developing as quick as their rivals. time to get new test riders, more wildcard entries and electronics team.

Zulfahmi leaving Moto2

Kinda sad but I respect him for setting his ego aside and admitting he can't do it.

This is good news but doesn't really make much difference since they all on the same engine. Hopefully it's just a start to join motogp.

Rumours marc vds will jv/taken over by petronas sic and have hs55 and jl99 as riders on Yamaha m1.

Many things wrong with the rumour imo.

1. Would jl99 take a paycut? Obviously they won't /can't spend as much as ducati.
2. With Malaysian new government situation, I don't think petronas has that much money to spare on establishing their own motogp team yet.
3. Marc VDS only having issue with Bartholomew and no reason to quit yet.

Regardless of rumours or not I don't mind having jl99 there. Hs55 can learn a lot from him but then with 1 year experience he could even beat jl who needs to adapt back to the Yamaha.
Interesting to see.

JL surely would take a pay cut. No satellite team can afford big salaries typical of such multiple champ. That would be a huge slap in his face. He must be thinking how on earth I can end up in the risk of loosing a competitive factory ride in just 2 years form being a triple champ who beat VR?? While VR still stays there getting all the love from Yamaha and the fans?  biggrin.gif

I also don't quite get why Suzuki is firing Iannone while he is clearly still the one scoring many more points for them.
*
QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Jun 1 2018, 11:09 PM)
Iannone doing quite good at Suzuki, dun know why he deserves the boot.. rclxub.gif

JL in other hand could be forced into satellite team. about the paycut, beggars can't be choosers right... biggrin.gif
*
JL may take the paycut but I'm not sure if he is willing to go to a satellite team. Even VR took a paycut but it was for a factory team. From another rumour, Jonathan Rea is on the brink of signing with Honda. JL could move to SBK to take the factory Kawasaki seat but he did say he is staying for another 2 years. Maybe JL will go to Suzuki, that's why Iannone lost his ride. Iannone didn't do so good last year but this year is a different story. He topped the times in FP. I think it's a huge loss for Suzuki. He is very experienced now. Heck he even beat Dovi a lot when he was at Ducati whereas Lorenzo can't even touch Dovi.

i have been saying this before. ducati letting go of iannone was a big mistake. he may be seems crazy riding, but he was fast on the desmo. biggrin.gif

well, no use dwelling in the past, ducati.  biggrin.gif

I totally support a total swap with Ducati. He didn't moan and bitch (not much) when they kicked him for Lorenzo. Between The Maniac and Petrux, I prefer the Maniac.

Suzuki is rumored to be more interested to a young rider (forgot the name) as they're also not willing to meet JL's salary demand.
JR go to Honda to replace Dani?? Pretty brave of him.
The M1 engines blew up that time due to over revving when the bikes wheel spinning as they got lifted up the crest near the end of the straight. So they just reset the rev limit and then it's ok already.
*
Joan mir, but nothing signed yet. I think Suzuki needs experienced rider for development.

I should wish more in the future. Second in the championship is really close. Seems like Rossi has a new girlfriend? I see a girl there.

No surprise MM crashed in the race. Given his crashing attitude I'm surprised he seldom crash in the race after year 2015. Year 2015 was his disaster year when he crashed so frequent in races..
*
QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jun 4 2018, 08:22 AM)
MM has always been riding on the raged edge and he had made some unbelievable saves. In the last few years he usually crashed only in practice or sometimes quali and rarely during the race coz he uses the practice to really test the limits so he knows not to cross it during the race but still ride on that raged edge.
*
QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Jun 4 2018, 09:31 AM)
to be fair, so far only 6 races out of 19. still got 13 races to go.  biggrin.gif if JL can maintain form like this, who knows, maybe ducati will change mind? Hehehe
In 2016 & 2017, MM has been working hard to improve on how to save crashes. even medias & reporters noticed his elbow saving technique.  biggrin.gif
can say the training pays off for him. he was unlucky in mugello though. sometimes, can't save them all.  smile.gif
*
He couldn't save it this time coz he ran out of tarmac. I believe if the gravel wasn't there he could have made it. But this crash is quite good for the championship. 2nd position is as tight as ever. only 12 points separate 2nd to 7th.

He said himself that the improvement that Duc brought for him has been too late and he will be on a different bike in the next 2 years so it seems all has been decided that he'll leave Duc.
But 2nd to 1st is still too big at almost 1 full race win, so need at least one more major problem for MM for the rest of the field to close up.

To be safe need 3 more lol

So far MM has been lucky. He has not had any major injuries from his falls, unlike Dani Pedrosa.

As expected, Pedrosa parting ways with hrc at the end of the season. Doesnt say if he retires or joins another team.
