It's closed so that it provides better control and security. That is why you don't have viruses or Trojans unless you jailbreak. Plus, Apple makes sure every app is properly checked before allowing it to be placed in App Store. By making the OS proprietary to iPhone, it also prevents other imitations from using iOS.

I remember reading somewhere that 90%+ mobile viruses affect android phones. Anyway, iOS are pretty feature packed these days and I stopped jailbreaking too.

he means he wants open file system where he can copy all the pirated movies and music and apps and share it with friends etc la....

The reason Apple file system is locked is because that is a loophole for piracy. imagine if apple allows everyone to copy mp3 and mp4 and avi or mkv movies and store and view on iphone, who will go and subscribe apple music or itunes store? biggrin.gif
*
File management isnt just about piracy. We can copy whatever mp3 flac mp4 mkv rmvb to iphone and watch it too as long as your storage is sufficient but the file is just only available to the specific app but android you can play with any app compatible. Thats freedom in file management
My file is much more organized in my android compare to my iphone. Image video pdf excel music ringtone are all in organized place and sharing image / video is much more easier in android.

I am never an iphone fan but I do keep up with all iphone series since the first iphone
I had tested all the iphone series till ip6s+
I will be selling off my 128gb ip6s+ when ip7+ reaches here
I had tried using the ip6+ and ip6s+ solidly a month but its experience can never match my other Androids
Basically its closed file system and terribly horrible file management system is a big deterrent to me using it as a daily working phone
Even with latest ios 10 I am still unimpressed
But being a smartphone enthusiast I will still be buying to test out the ip7+ (128gb)

I supposed uncle benny has also stopped jailbreak your idevices

We couldn't be happier with the initial response to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and we are looking forward to beginning sales through our retail stores and partners around the world.

Beginning Friday, limited quantities of iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, and black will be available for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers. Availability at partner locations for all finishes may vary and we recommend checking directly with them.
Customers can continue to order all models in all colors on apple.com. We sincerely appreciate our customers' patience as we work hard to get the new iPhone into the hands of everyone who wants one as quickly as possible.

You queue number 1 also cannot get Jet Black blink.gif

What i know is few popular stores over at Australia told people who queue that there will be no walk-in purchase tomorrow for Plus model. Compare to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s period, there are still selling every model to walk in.

Pretty much to remove queue as it always lead to conflict and unnecessary problems.

just saw iPhone 7/7+ pre-order prices on Lazada and 11street

but I am kinda dumbfounded looking at the prices.
for instance, both Lazada and 11street are selling iPhone 7 Plus - 256GB at RM6,199. but on Apple Singapore official website, iPhone 7 Plus - 256GB only priced at S1,588 ~ RM4,800...why like that one????????

Patience guy, will be launched at 1st November. Based on past record since iPhone 5, 5s, 6/6P and 6s/6sP.
iPhone 7/7P will launch earlier than Final Fantasy XV for sure, no need to worry.
No need to wait since we already know the answer, 1st November every year. So take note from 25 to 31 October probably all the telco may start offers online pre-order and you will receive your phone at next working day after iPhone was launched at 1st Nov.

I read on the Verge or Engadget (can't recall which) that the jet black unit they had got scratched in less than 24 hours of usage.
Plus they mentioned that it, to a certain extent, looks like plastic (think 5C plastic). So, if anything, I'd recommend staying away from it unless you really like it.
