Dont get why people would ever buy an iPhone. Phones these days can do everything the iphone can if not better at a cheaper price.

It's like asking why people would buy a Merz/ BMW / Audi / Honda / Toyota when cars these days such as Proton can do everything that the brands I mentioned can at a much cheaper price.

Different people have different perceived value and quality. You might not see quality / value in the iPhone but others does. The same applies to Samsung or other phone brands

Personally I find iPhone smooth and easy to use. Besides, it's ecosystem allows all your apple devices to be in sync of the same stuff hence making life a lot easier

Of course the other reason is because I'm an Apple fan which never failed to upgrade every year despite them introducing whatever phone/feature

On the right mark. However, the popping out camera lens is somehow a challenge. Really expecting the matetial as durable as it told in the iphone7 launch video by the Apple team.
