Celcom iPhone plans.. total cost of ownership cost a bomb..

Please dont add on monthly commitment fee into your total cost of ownership.Either way, u still need a data plan even if u purchase it outright.

However if u wish to include all, this is the way to calculate:

Without plan:
Normal plan rm80 (10gb internet) * 24 = rm1920 + outright purchase = RM4299.
Total cost of ownership is RM6219.

With celcom first gold plan:
Package plan rm98 (12gb internet) * 24 = RM2352 + phone price (after gst ?)= RM2978
Total cost of ownership is RM5330.

But im not sure the rm2978 is inclusive of gst or not. if before gst, total ownership will become rm5508.68..

Nice explanation. if u are not first gold subscriber or pay the monthly bill less than 50 ringgit sure the plan is not suitable.

However, if you are not heavy usage, then this plan is not suitable for you, imagine your monthly commitment is only RM50, you just need 3GB data, so no point to pay extra for the subsidies phone.

RM98 - RM 50 = RM48 and multiple 24 months its RM1152 different.
But bear in mind, one is 3GB data and another one is 10GB data.

So at the end of the day, it will be worth if you find a right plan for you.

If you guys do not understand then I change another scenario, you went a restaurant, 250g wagyu beef costs RM250, but 500g costs RM330. However, if you can only consume maximum of 250g why pay more to waste the food? hahaha rclxms.gif

Yup, thats y i mention cost a bomb coz celcom dont cater for moderate to low data usage customers..sometimes not all people use those xtra GBs.. eg. like myself i'm on first 38(40.30x12mths =RM483.60)with gst.. & preordered from G5 iP7+ 128GB for RM4056.. total cost of ownership for me would be just RM4539.60

Cannot live without a telco plan as my work needs me to call for referral. Before using first gold, my bill would go up to 200.
