I remember the hordes of people porting over to Celcom when their First Gold plan was released. Some have now ported back to maxis or DiGi or some even to U Mobile biggrin.gif

Anyways, a more than RM 1,000 savings on the phone price is good, though not sure if the phone price already includes GST?

However, if you are not heavy usage, then this plan is not suitable for you, imagine your monthly commitment is only RM50, you just need 3GB data, so no point to pay extra for the subsidies phone.

RM98 - RM 50 = RM48 and multiple 24 months its RM1152 different.
But bear in mind, one is 3GB data and another one is 10GB data.

So at the end of the day, it will be worth if you find a right plan for you.

If you guys do not understand then I change another scenario, you went a restaurant, 250g wagyu beef costs RM250, but 500g costs RM330. However, if you can only consume maximum of 250g why pay more to waste the food? hahaha rclxms.gif

Yup, working hours = office wifi, home = personal wifi, only used data during that 2 or 3 hours outside but hardly can finished the 4gb, that's why I will go for plan-less unit next week

Sure its more cheaper la if u currently on first gold/platinum or your monthly bill almost RM 100 compared if u buy a phone without a plan. For me its not about the data but the unlimited calls.

It already is cheaper, because your upfront payment gets rebated to you in your monthly bills, so you don't end up paying so much monthly. Unless you are a very light user or a prepaid user, then it makes sense to buy the phone outright without a contract to ensure you're not paying to the telco what you don't use.

For me it's not about the data coz I hardly ever finish the monthly quota allocated, but it's more about the calls coz I'm in the sales line, and I clock minimum 8 hours talk time a month. Which is why I'm always happy to sign a contract with telco.

Oh, and the fact that the company pays my monthly commitment fees helps, too biggrin.gif

For example, as reference from here http://new.digi.com.my/smartphone/iphone-6s-plus

I want to buy an iPhone 6s Plus 64GB at Digi postpaid 68 More Internet, I have to pay RM3,678 first. My monthly payment is RM68. However, don't forget I still got another RM456 upfront payment. Which is included in my RM3,678. RM456 divided for 24 months meaning RM19. Actually I just need to pay RM49 per month for 6GB data because RM19 rebate per month.

I know upfront payment will be discount monthly
I thought got discount if paying using certain card, or auto pay using card laugh.gif
