It will drop. That's why I just topup US amd asia pacific before leaving my room. But these are just pocket of small opportunities to topup. That's the reason I topup manually. The real opportunity will come during US election/sudden market catastrophe.

And to say adults have no time for investment (working 9-5) when I as a student leave my room at 8am and only come back only at 10 pm+ everyday still can see the news and topup whistling.gif

What do you think of the impact of Samsung killing Note 7 to TA Global Technology Fund? Based on the fund fact sheet released on 30th Aug, it is holding 4.9% Samsung Electronics equity, which is the fund fifth largest holding.

You are basing on assumption that it will not drop further. If this is a beginning of a storm, then your top up this morning is an effort to stop a dropping knife. wink.gif

I also read that as result of Samsung's drop, Apple goes up. Does TA Global Tech includes Apple ?

I topup ponzi 2, ta global, reits (HK market have been red for few days hopefully it will force reits down)

KGF and eastspring SC. KIV. Waiting for more xdb issue/some local issues. - No local issue will just redirect the money into ponzi 2 + reits (as what xuzen said, direct money elsewhere first).

Rhb gold. Let it run a bit further. Will buy later. I believed it still can go lower. Waiting for price to go below usd1250. Am going for rhb gold as required less holding (min rm100 only compare to precious need min holding rm1k)

Based on latest fund fact sheet, apple is 7.4%, samsung is 4.9%

Does the samsung incident resulting in apple surge?

If it is then TA GTF will up rather go down biggrin.gif

Can find a few reports of this. Apple goes up because samsung goes down.

Not sure there are comparable or not?

1st pic: TAGTF latest fund fact sheet holding information was based on its target fund, HHGTF as of 31st JULY

2nd pic: HHGTF latest fund fact sheet shown holding information as of 31st AUGUST

3rd pic: MSCI ACW IT index holding info shown as of 30th September

IF samsung incident made samsung drop and apple surge, the current info seems that it will surge more than it will drop rclxms.gif

Actually sometimes I feel that see market movement as top up indicator is pointless.

I once did correlation testing between market index vs the market the fund is invested in. Very weak correlation.

Of course we as retail investor can only make use of what's available and make the best use out of it.. But just saying..
