Major paypal newbie here.
I use a Visa debit card for my Paypal payment.

So here's the thing, I have RM10 balance in the pp right now and I'm thinking of buying something that costs RM30.

Will they use the balance and deduct the remaining RM20 from my card?
Or will they just deduct RM30 straight from the card?

Also, my friend is sending me some USD. My pp is set to MYR. Would I be able to receive the payment?

Yes it will be deducting the balance of RM20 from your card.
You will still receive it in USD unless your friend is sending you MYR..

Hi everyone,
I have a question. Last Thursday a friend of mine withdrawn for the first time to their Maybank account. After one week at Paypal it says the withdrawal was successful but their is still no money in the bank. Whom should they call to ask pertaining this matter?

Thanks

Email Paypal first.. They will usually check for you.. But usually they'll ask you to wait for another week..

Hi,

I have the same problem too. I made a withdrawal on the 29th June 2012 and until now the money is still not in my Maybank account. I have lodged a report to Paypal and the representative said that she will file a report for me. I am not sure how long it will for this issue to be resolved sad.gif

No woh.. unless you quote for unlimited ATM withdrawal every month.
Mine is set at maximum 4 free ATM transaction per month and charged 50cent per withdrawal if more than that. Therefore excluding the annual RM8 fee..

oh... when i get da maybank debit visa, they charged me rm8 for the card. my withdrawal time had limitation too. when i reached the 4th time of withdrawal, i will be given a warning that rm0.50 might be charged from your account.

Guys, I'm trying to buy something off a foreign website with my Paypal account which only has MYR and linked with my bank account.

Let's say I want to buy something, my Paypal account has sufficient money, will it just deduct my Paypal money or deduct from my debit card?

I've been trying to ask the staff at the local bank but to my amaze, they know little to none how this Paypal works, which is obviously one of their services offered. (Don't they train their staff or something regarding each and every products?)

The last time I bought something off the web, it did deduct my debit card, is it because my account has insufficient fund?

Since your Paypal account is loaded with MYR, it will not deduct your Paypal balance and will deduct straight from your bank savings.

For foreign currency transaction they only accept USD for transfer. So either your Paypal account should have USD balance or it will direct debit your bank savings account.

And yeah I was wondering too if they ever train their staff regarding to this sweat.gif been asking around in a few banks since last 2 years but seems like it's still the same, some even still don't know what is Paypal. laugh.gif

no they wont deduct your balance since it's not in usd . it will direct debit your maybank savings account according to maybank currency exchange rate

For this "To (email or mobile phone)"

We enter the receiver's email right to make payment to them?

You mean withdrawal? Withdrawal would takes 3-7working days.
If refund it depends on the case you're having and could takes up to 1 month time..
