Depends on the company but local telco I guarantee you it will be stressful.

But, the plus point is that its a really good experience...if you can survive or even better get promoted in a local telco CS environment...it would reflect that you're the type of person who can take shit and handle stress and all kinds of other nonsense...good and bad in a way for your future prospects, depending how you look at it.

Consider ok while you look for better job. Unless you find yourself are really good at it and being offered opportunity to move up the ranks.

Communication skills and EQ are very important in this field.

I have a friend that used to work as customer service, he first start @ tm. Offcousre he has to deal with all sort of customer. Some are nice some are rude (usually they have a way dealing with the rude ones, so guys dont be rude to them)

But one thing I notice, he seems to job hopping a lot due to better offer from other Company. According to him, once you have experience (at least 1 year) and good record, its easy to get offer from other company. Basically these company want to skip the training part.

I never worked as call center customer service before. But my first job was IT support for a Telco. The call center of coz need 24/7 shift rotation. You will continuously answer call non stop. The team leads will monitor how long you go ular, toilet break, smoke break and stuffs . Basically you are glued to your chair and the headphone all the time. Expect to always kena marah from customer or people that are hard to deal with. Training will be provided. However I believe your job is contract basis right ??? You will lose out a lot of benefit.

There is 1 collection department also. That one I remember no need work shift. But keep asking people. " Encik bila mau bayar ? , Pakai credit card ke cash? "

To hell with VADS. Their SQ team is shit LOL.

And their HR + interviewers are horrible, why I said so is because Telekom's CS from VADS can't even speak simple English (broken grammar) but nevermind still. What's worse is that these CS staffs are not attentive at all.

I remember my most recent case with TM call center
Friday night I called, I was told system under maintenance, they can't log case yet. So OK, fine.
On that time, I told the girl, "When your system is up, create the case and I want the case number."

This is her reply, "But sir, the system is down......."

I screamed at her, "EH KO NI TAK FAHAM BAHASA KE APA, NAK AKU CAKAP DALAM BAHASA CINA, TAMIL? I said I want the details WHEN YOUR SYSTEM IS UP."

Their interviewers are topkek bodo dunno how they screen staffs.

After that, this girl didn't create the case for me. Until Tuesday came my mother told me no one contacted her yet.
Called TM again and screw every single one including the manager.

------------

I'm a customer from hell, nasib baik Maxis is understanding. Their staffs more professional, compassionate and empathetic laugh.gif

Each time I call, I make sure I am not talking to CSO from VADS. When I call Celcom, I make sure they're not from AEGIS as well.

Stay out from outsource company, unless you are hired directly under celcom, got staff benefit, pay low postpaid plan as staff, medical benefit by AIA, bonus gooding..

If aegis, vads, symphony, or attached to recruitment company...no future to move further, they have high turnover of employees, contract basis, anytime will be kick base on your KPI

Bank sector if you know nuts, start from CS. Trust me you will learn a lot, it's always CS that learn most and more than those at branch.

if you are confident with your technical knowledge, understanding, verbal speaking and listening skills whynot?

if the pay is good why not?

bear in mind your work hours will kill your social life as you will be working during hours people are free.

Beta setuju.. Kualiti pekerja vads kebanyakan macam sampah.. Kerja tak pandai, speaking haram jadah tapi nak yang terbaik.

Lahabau betul.

If you have high EQ you can.
You need to know sometimes there are ppl who gets frustrated easily without any reason, even when you are helping them the right way.
And mostly......the ppl with problem will call into the call center....they are already half angry mode.

it would be nice if customers were that 'easy to die'.

As for ts,

Want to know more about this job? Go to read McD's facebook page. You can see many customers flaming McD on its delivery service.

You always remember one thing, customer is scolding your company, not you.

I have been into this field for over 5 years now and advanced into management field, a really good job for you to step in and learn more.

Depends on the company you are joining too.
