QUOTE(electron @ Sep 8 2016, 04:32 PM) For trip to Otaru, you can stay in Sapporo if you want to reduce checking in and out of hotel. otherwise, you can pack a lighter luggage for Asahikawa and shipped your luggage to the destination which you are going after returning from Asahikawa using Ta-Q-Bin/Yamato for a small fee and inform the hotel ahead. They are usually ok to help you store the luggage and you can specify when you want the luggage to arrive at the hotel. Since it will be winter, are you targetting any ski spots? QUOTE(electron @ Sep 8 2016, 04:41 PM) There will be a festival going on in Kyoto on the 22nd of October, the Jidai Matsuri. Please quote all message you want reply and post under one.It could be a interesting experience for you. |

QUOTE(tinyback @ Sep 9 2016, 12:44 PM) Sifu please enlighten me. It is advisable to do as follow; From Kansai Airport Station to Shin-Osaka StationI have borrowed 2 ICOCA crads from my friend. I am thinking upon arrival at Kansai Airport I will proceed to top up the cards with 3000 yen each and Board the Haruka Limited Express to Shin Osaka which cost 1360 yen. However if I queue up at the counter to buy the discount trip ticket it only cost 1300 yen. The difference is only 60 yen. Is it worth the time to queue up? Which I think it may take 30 minutes? Your valuable advice is most appreciated. JR Limited Express ''Haruka'' Fare are 1300 Yen + 970 Unreserved Seat Fee + Tax = 2330 Yen Per Pax JR Limited Express ''Haruka'' Fare are 1300 Yen + 1490 Reserved Seat Fee + Tax = 2850 Yen Per Pax If you choose unreserve seat, You have to find empty seat by your own inside Unreserved seat coach. If that coach was full. You have to stand all the way to Shin Osaka Station. If you leave your seat to toilet or something else, other people can take over your seat. Even you got GF / WIfe / friend jaga seat for you also cannot. You leave your seat , other people can take over. This is rules in unreserved seat. BTW, If you really ''Suey'' Cannot find a seat, you have to stand all the way. That 970 Yen fees really wasted. Reserve seat will be standard seat with number. Standard JR ''Haruka'' train schedule was every 30 Minute one train leaving Kansai Airport Station. If you saw the Q was long then don't waste time. Very common sense. QUOTE(tinyback @ Sep 9 2016, 01:31 PM) Sifu, 2330 Yen are Final Price. 1300 Yen + 970 Yen + Tax = 2330You mean when I opt for the unreserved seat JR Limited express "Haruka" I have to pay 1300 Yen + 970 yen + 2330 Yen from KIX to Shin Osaka. Because I am having the impression that I only have the pay the fare of 1300 yen from KIX to Shion Osaka for the unreserved seat JR Limited Express "Haruka". Sorry I am a bit sorry to comprehend the fare computation. |

QUOTE(ThekidZ @ Sep 12 2016, 07:45 AM) Hi, I can told you one thing was.Recently i bought tix to OSaka through Airasia at a very cheap price and planning to get the return tix from Tokyo and realised the price is so expensive for a one way TKY-KUL. I was thinking since i am paying that price, i might as well goes for other airline which include luggage check in. So i wanna ask, what other airline should i look into for Tokyo-KUL one way trip and what is the average (or cheapest) price i should aim for? No matter what airline in this world. If you just flight one direction it will be very expensive. |

QUOTE(Forgotten06 @ Sep 18 2016, 07:23 PM) Hi guys, Day7: Take out Jozankei put in Sounkyo. Don't tell people you visit Hokkaido Autumn if you didn't visit Sounkyo. Will be heading to Hokkaido this coming October with 3 of my friends. Did some read ups and research on the place itself and we came out with this itinerary. We will be taking train/buses/cycling to travel around. Just to you guys a rough idea about where we're heading Day 0: KL > CTS Day 1: Arriving CTS early morning, will be taking a train all the way to Sapporo, then transit to Asahikawa. Day 2: Asahikawa Day Trip (Asahiyama Zoo etc) Day 3: Asahikawa > Furano on early morning Day 4: Furano/Biei day trip Day 5: Furano > Sapporo by Chuo bus, will be spending the rest of the day @ Sapporo Day 6: Day trip to Otaru Day 7: Day trip to Jozankei Day 8: Day trip around Sapporo Day 9: Half day @ Sapporo, half day @ Chitose Day 10: Flying back to KL early morning @ CTS Initially we planned to get the 4 days flexi pass so that we can cover places like Toya, Hakodate, but the travelling time could be an issue to us as we will be on the move all the time. After all, we just want to enjoy the Autumn season to the fullest. Do let me know which part of the itinerary can be improved. Thanks guys! |

QUOTE(Forgotten06 @ Sep 18 2016, 10:45 PM) Would it be better if I were to take out Furano/Biei and change it to Sounkyo instead? I didn't told you take out Furano/Biei means it worth to go.I'm not too sure is it a good idea to visit Furano/Biei around October as its way past the Lavender season. Not many people wrote guides for autumn season for both places. Most of those blog guide writer also been Hokkaido once or twice only.....they also dunno anything...Hokkaido it self I already been there 57 times. Enough to beat any one here to Japan record. I told you to take out Jozankei because this place was very small and not worth to spend whole day here plus Sounkyo Autumn scenic view are 5 times more prettier than Jozankei too. QUOTE(SUPERBGEEK @ Sep 20 2016, 05:15 PM) I used hyperdia and came to a conclusion that Kansai Thru Pass doesn't makes money worth, or very hard to use the pass up to its value. Maybe I will buy a day for Himeji and Kobe. Thanks anyway. 3 days must be spent in Osaka, as I bought a 2 day Osaka Amazing Pass and one day will be distributed towards Universal Studio. Thanks anyway QUOTE(look416 @ Sep 21 2016, 08:22 AM) There is no one day pass for Kansai Thru Pass, minimum requirement is 2 day pass which cost around 4k yen, average 2k yen per day. If you are going to Himeji then congrats to you, you have earned back the value itself, which costs around 3k for a return trip. Since you have dedicated 5 days for Osaka, then the other 2 days, you can either go for Osaka Zoo, or even do shopping. Even shinsaibashi + namba + dotunburi can cost you whole day to finish it. Buy 2 Days Kansai Thru Pass.As look 416 mention. One day used for Himeji Trip already 3k Yen + some subway sightseeing around at night. 2nd day used this pass go Nara. From Osaka Namba Station take Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Station. One way already cost 560Yen Night still can used this pass sight seeing around using subway. So In the Ends , Your 4000 Yen 2 Days Kansai Thru Pass already worth back the price. This post has been edited by RegentCid: Sep 21 2016, 12:07 PM |
