Fergie on his final season as the manager, knows Rooney is no longer the same Rooney who once had good combination with Ronaldo and Tevez, that's why he was benched or don't even make it to bench....he was about to quit but things changed once Moyes came and first thing he did, bersalam-salam with Rooney and offered him a big fat contract, he stayed and keep provided low par performance. Moyes sacked and in come LVG, he just an upgrade version of Moyes, played him every single minute whether he is fit, 50% fit or 1% fit because according to his lame philosophy "captain shall start", so he continue to perform low par performance yet again and now Mourinho's turn and he still playing like he deserved

only my opinion : i think moyes, lvg and mourinho had no choice but to start him due to marketing reasons. not because they want to. no matter how shit he plays, they had to do so. if the contract link turns out to be true, we have a player who is bigger than the club and running the show.

He had a choice not to extend Rooney's contract. But maybe he thought he can get the best out of Rooney that time, since he is the one who trained Rooney in his early days.Or maybe the board want him to break Sir Bobby's goal coring record. Thats why keep asking the managers to play him. |

Mou said before he see loni onli play as 9 or 10 and not any other position.. the last match he is in midfield.. i prefer play Miki as 10. I see Miki like Kagawa, cut inside and create thru ball to ST.

QUOTE(damnself @ Sep 21 2016, 11:55 AM) Surely it has to be someone who has been present during both reigns. Main suspect is obviously Rooney because of all the flak he's been receiving lately but question is what's his incentive for leaking something to potentially jeopardize Jose? If anything he is the one who is benefiting most from Jose's persistence with him. It's not necessarily a player leaking either as it was known that the board was rather split on appointing Mourinho. Could well be one of the coaches, or staff or board member behind the scenes. |

went for vacation, missed the last 2 matches and both lost. so i somehow missed, the lvg feeling
it's just 2 league defeats and one of them against pep. the cause of concern/panic here is pep is flying with 5/5 wins. as long as mou dun lose the dressing room, he can turn things around. but he lost at home so early. didnt really hit 3 losing streak before? maybe he lost his mojo. hopefully not. |

On SAF final season rooney back to No. 10 role and still play many games making good partnership wt RVP even he claim rooney asking to leave for 2nd time at the end of tht season. |

QUOTE(damnself @ Sep 21 2016, 01:30 PM) If this is true, they are really embarrassing... I'm fully behind Mourinho on this one. If you play horrible then man up and face it, don't know why nowadays footballers are bigger than the club now...All the deadwood, especially the old guards need to be cleared up to move the club forward. |

What was noted in the discussion on Rooney which was spot on is - how come no matter how bad he plays, he will definitely start the next game since Moyes days. Does not make sense. I only wonder if this is due to marketing reasons. LvG had to gut to drop him for several games last season even though he was not injured, and then came all the media stories about LvG, not sure if you guys remember.
SAF would have gotten rid of him if he was still in charge. |
