Claudio Bravo to have a few howlers due to miscommunication. Aguero to miss derby cos of a retrospective ban for the elbow on Reid. Looking good.

International break is a bane to many managers. Alright this round has actual qualification games. Those breaks just for friendlies are a nuisance. Wonder how many more injuries...
United - 1 down City - 1 down (expected Aguero suspension) |

Ini semua salah Rooney honestly. I dunno what kind of jampi he has on all managers since SAF. If SAF still in charge after his last, Rooney would've been gone.
By selecting him, it has a selection ripple to the rest. OK, so Mkhitaryan had a bad game but it's hardly his fault being thrown into the thick of things in a derby of all matches. His best position is No.10 which a certain Rooney has made permanent supposedly. Lingard was the strange selection. One would think Mourinho could have at least started Martial or Rashford instead. I'm beginning to have a tiny bit of doubt about this team as long as Rooney is still in. The whole world is asking. Where is his best position at the present time? If in doubt, drop him for a few games & see how the whole team is transformed, seriously. Question is, who's brave enough to drop him? LVG can't, Hodgson won't, Mourinho couldn't, Allerdyce wouldn't. |

And I don't like the fact that we started pumping long balls to afro in the 2nd half. OK, maybe Mourinho thought we couldn't out pass City but Fellaini as the target man reeks similarity with LVG's option last 2 season.
Perhaps during UEL match next week Mou can try different tactic & selection without Rooney & Fellaini. DDG - Valencia - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw - Herrera - Pogba - Mkhitaryan - Rashford - Martial - Ibrahimovic |

QUOTE(nasrulafiq93 @ Sep 10 2016, 11:59 PM) The awarding of Arsenal's penalty was a shocker. League worth billions but refereeing still in dark ages. We have all the technology but the powers that be still recalcitrant. Look at other sports especially rugby. And the money there not even a sniff from football. Even badminton embraced technology. All football has is goal line tech. |

QUOTE(ImAintNerd @ Sep 11 2016, 08:28 PM) Rooney must be droped. We need a fast tempo game. He keep on losing ball and i cant see any chemistry between him and zlatan. Should try deepay. Give the guy a chance. And valencia cross must be improved. QUOTE(Xnet @ Sep 11 2016, 10:45 PM) I repeat & I quote myself. Hunt me down all you want but that's the truth. Rooney is a liability. His inclusion in the team causes others to not play in their supposed position. Dropping him can also push Pogba up. Mkhitaryan can play at his natural position no.10 or Mata |

QUOTE(Xnet @ Sep 11 2016, 11:40 PM) Well I'm really sorry to say this about Rooney. Yes he was a good player when he first came. The hattrick in his debut UCL, that overhead kick v City & other memorable moments. Thank you but he has passed his sell by date. Now he's just slow, lose the ball all the time, & not that clever (let's be honest, he's no Scholes). Memphis? He can't even get into the match day squad & is 3rd in the pecking order for his position. Probably will see him again in EFL Cup matches on the bench. |

Well, why am I not surprised that Mkhitaryan is already complaining about his playing position? Yes, the Rooney factor again. As I've said time & time again, Rooney must be dropped or sold for the team to progress.

The progress City has made under Pep is frightening. Pool's attacking prowress is quite a site to behold. Coming from a United fan, it's pretty damning. We have a good squad sans Rooney & a few other dead beat players. Let's hope they can click as fast as possible because we don't wanna play catch up.

QUOTE(limjenson @ Sep 15 2016, 12:19 PM) It's also useless if your entire team tactics have to be adjusted to accommodate Rooney instead of for the best of the squad. Correct. If Pep is in charge at Utd, if Rooney is not in his plan, he would've been shipped to Timbuktu for all I care. The problem is he's being a passanger for majority of the matches with only flashes of brilliance. Pep selects the player that suits his tactics the best. |

What if I told you that Utd can play like City but just can't with Rooney around. As much as I appreciate his contribution, Utd has been carrying & to a lesser extent England, Rooney for the last 3 to 4 fcuking seasons. If Utd did well later tonight at Rotterdam, it won't be coz they play without Rooney & the same if they don't do well. Look at the bigger picture. It's like carrying a crippled who can occasionally be of good use.

Rooney is NOT the future for United. The sooner we get over him the better. Even his fanboys gotta agree with this.

Give them time. But how much time? We don't look threatening at all.

How much longer can Utd carry Rooney? Twice in 5 minutes losing the ball coz he's slow & also slow to react.
