Cesc is a pin point passer, ala Pirlo. He wont do the defensive duties as much as Matic and Kante.

Matic and Kate needed to protect the old back four.

That is why the signing of Alonso and Luiz will rejuvenate our back four and we can afford to play Cesc in place of Matic.

oscar and matic was all over the pitch, matic was not defensive midfielder, his role is box-to box with a good defensive skill. to win ball higher in the pitch and yes box to box sometimes play higher than striker, ie Lampard.

as for Luiz, I think he should take Cahill place along side JT..and slowly working towards Luiz-Zouma combo..
