a few key areas to improve before the game against spuds at the bridge.

1- Alonso defensively.
2- Intensity of tracking back and closing down from the top.
3- Hazard position when he was marked heavily. Changing side is the easiest solution but Pedro not that effective as LW.
4- Passing accuracy and thru pass.
5- Reckless clearance to opponents.

I'm using Everton game as benchmark so yeah a very demanding requests but I believe that we can do it.

professionalism at its best

dont you guys think that we need some sort of back-up plan, for the past 6 games we had been fielding the same guys. something happen (touch wood) to any of those legs, die loh, since no one is capable of matching the 'invincible 11'
*
i think our backup plan is 352 plus conte rarely change or tinker with his first 11.

Chelsea trio John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Michy Batshuayi played for the club’s Under 23 side on Monday in a bid to remedy their lack of first-team game-time.
With manager Antonio Conte sticking with a settled line-up, Terry, Fabregas and Batshuayi have failed to start in a Premier League game for almost two months.
They joined third-choice goalkeeper Eduardo, as well as Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel - both returning from injury - in a senior-looking side that beat Southampton 3-2 in Premier League 2 at their Cobham training base.

Batshuayi dan MVG scored
*
and Conte watching this from the stand with David Luiz..this is a positive thing if they take it as a step to improve their lacking of game time. It was not a punishment whatsoever.

plus, they use the 3-4-3 formation. is this indicate some movement and progress for our youngsters to be part of the senior team in future?
*
QUOTE(SlomoX @ Nov 22 2016, 05:10 PM)
its always the case where the senior team played in a certain formation and the rest of the back-ups would play in similar formation. this is to familiarise the backups when they are called upon.
*
that is the idea, to help youngsters adapt to the first team tactics that will help them to perform and ease into the main squad.

conte must had a good amount of discussion with the academy and development squad's staff to explain his vision and tactics.

not sure why Luiz there..

but he was my pick last time he was here to take captaincy from Terry..and Mata as VC..we lost a little bit if identity when both of them left us.

I think that Conte aware about this and preparing Batsman for the suspension..I hope that Costa can survive Spuds and able to play against City.

It's my club, I love playing here. The manager gave me a chance to express myself. I just want to enjoy myself out there. - Moses, the MOTM.

Azpi has the highest tackle/interception at 11 for this game. Ppl talk about Luiz, but I say Azpi is the most crucial one in our back 3.

not many players dare to say this out loud.

Azpi is a nononsense defender, our unsung heroes but Luiz is the one that achor all 3..Azpi cant play as well as this in 2 man defender.

tbh yes, Spurs were the better team in the first half, but we stepped up in the second half to match their intensity and pace. Winning this type of game give us more time and less pressure to improve our weakness. This game also proved that high pressing will give us trouble..but high pressing is a double edges blade..you cant do it effectively over 45mins or even more at 90mins.

a few decision went our way..but to be fair all those decision can go either way..us or them.

scoring 3 goals is not a dumb luck..for me City failed to kill the game thus giving us more time to break them.

one more thing..Costa already sub off..if not for sure the fight will be much more interesting hahahaha

Wasn't defending Fernandinho, his reaction was moronic. But it wasn't a case of Fabregas "didn't do anything to warrant that reaction". Fabregas certainly isn't innocent here. He knew he could get a reaction out of Fernandinho. And a "slap" like that in most cases would even warrant a red card.
*
He was rightly yellow carded iinm for the slap. It was a fair 2 yellow cards for Chelsea.

Fernandinho was an idiot for his overreaction to the slap but Fabregas is no saint either.

In a brawl and fight like this players who pushing it over the edge usually the one who will get the red card. You (ref) cant simply use normal in game reaction to control the situation because all players involved were very physical. Mitcy heavy pull on Feenandinho, Chalobah push on Aguero and a few more interactions were usually will be red carded in normal game time. That is why Cesc and Chalobah only yellow. The fact that they were punished with yellow meaning that the ref was aware and dealt with it accordingly.

Tibo was great last night. Azpi defended across all 4 defensive position, he even cover Alonso. Luiz and Cahill was solid except a few occasions when we pressing too high. Moses contributed a lot defensively, more than usual. Pirlo was okay considering his second start, he has attributes to play like Pirlo in the deep lying playmaker making pin point passes..maybe he will be effective in 352..Kante was good enough..Alonso need to improve defensively..and our attacking department really excel last night when we were playing counter attacks. overall..a tough game, city cant kill the game thus give us more time to absorb and punished them instead.
