I just experienced the same thing. They never even bother to notify you of any outstanding balance.
I didnt knew i have any outstanding balance until I was told I was blacklisted when applying for new line. I ask them to email me the bill statement and then straight report and complain to SKMM 2 days ago. I found out they blacklist me the day I terminate my service. Bunch of asshole.
One more thing is I terminate my line 7 days after the billing cycle but they charged me full payment for one month.

for sure this is postpaid

Before it tiau their CS..

PREPAID is paid first then used.
POSTPAID is paid upon used.
The problem was we think deposit is deduct upon last month .. sometime they convert to 6 month expand rebate and said we ow always ow them 2 month.. it wrong.
If i ask what i due.. is what is my due till this x date not last month.. Most cs dumb on this.

Bro use prepaid..

maxis wa sudah report pdpa.gov.my u mana mau larik. Don't remind if you kejar i lawyer wa kejar u dari celcom.com.my ngan pdpa.gov.my

hoohooo there was once Celcom sent a bill to my house (but not under my name).

I have notified celcom immediately, they had took the notice but DID NOTHING. And I make another 2 reports before I gave up.

2 years later, some gangster appears my house together with legal letter demanding approximately 1k+ from me. I straight away called up celcom and F them up side down.

I pun baru terkena.
My 12 month Celcom postpaid contract end on 25th Aug.
So I request for termination on 26th Aug. (yesterday).
The CS at Blue Cube told me there will be another 1 time monthly billing (what the....).

I ask her why it is so?
Because my billing cycle is on 8th every month. If request for termination before the 8th Aug, there will no more bill she told me.

Oh no how I'm going to request for line termination before 8th Aug. if only my contract will end on 25th Aug.?
I will charge for penalty!

I ask will my line been active till 8th Sept. (billing cycle date)?
She told me line will be deactivated within 24 hours after request for termination.

What the ....
What the use of paying another one month bill if can't use the service?

All celcom new posrpaid plan has a termination charge of 1 month access free clause. I think consumers need to factor this in before they sign up.

Celcom also has the practice of pre-charge you for posrpaid bills. For example if your bill date is 8th August, your bill will have your charges for 8th July - 7th August , plus advance charge of commitment fee for 8th August - 7th September. I don't know if even this amount will be refunded to you.

And yes, celcom does have some miscommunication problem with their billing department notifying unpaid monies to their ex-customers. Looks like this legacy issue has not been resolved and celcom should prioritize resolution of this pertinent thorny issue

Normally, before you port out, you have to settle all your existing bills but this doesn't mean all the bills are settled, because there are still unbilled amount (your usage for the current billing period at the time of MNP/terminate, but the bill not issued yet).

Most people tend to forget this because this unbilled amount is normally processed at the billing date. Example, you MNP or terminate on 1st, but the bill cycle date is 31st (you only get your bill on 31st every month).

As for termination, you can terminate anytime as long as you don't any contract at the time of termination. You have to settle all existing bills at the time of termination but then you will only get the unbilled amount (next bill) at the bill cycle date within 30 days.

Most people gets blackisted because they overlooked the final bill which comes after you terminate/port out from the Telco. This bill if not settled will result in blacklist, totally legal.

Celcom did the same thing here. I refuse to entertain them. If they want to call a lawyer go ahead, I am prepared to face the court for justice.!

Even UMobile when you terminate at the counter where you sign some document for terminate will inform you about "need to pay last bill"
If still refuse to pay... Your name will be on blacklist.

I am not sure what plan you have with Celcom but TnC stated

What happens if I terminate my plan?
You will be charged 1 full month of your package value on top of your outstanding bill amount.

From here

https://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/fi...p=1439663563811

By signing up.. You are agreeing to their TnC
Celcom outsource their Customer Service so usually their reply will be like SOP.

You can file with SKMM.
Celcom will just need to show their TnC which you have BLINDLy sign earlier.

MCMC also need to rely back to celcom.
In fact, MCMC don't have power to make a decision towards celcom.
In simple, these kind of CFM and MCMC are help you to forward complain and follow up the case with service provider...

CFM = Forward complain to service provider
MCCM = Follow up with service provider

Both organization memang tak boleh pakai one... shakehead.gif

If you memang tak boleh tahan, perhaps you can further visit to the HQ to make further action based on the link below:-

It will be the most effective and fastest way that Celcom will solve your problems... thumbup.gif

OR

If celcom more Lan C (more evil) than you, you will soon receive another lawyer/police letter that you vandalism their property.. whistling.gif

Most of the time, we sign happily without realising the implication
but when wanna port out/MNP/terminate..
then all play victims

Celcom have clearly stated inside TnC.
