Is Redmi Note 4 original mi Malaysia set charger adapter must come with 3 pin? I bought from Lazada (not Mi Store) and the warranty mentioned is 1 year local manufacturer warranty and can only send to authorized service centre in MY. However, the box is in mandarin and the IMEI code is not found in Mi verification website.. seller claimed that it is bcoz mi service centre hasn't update the new batch of Redmi Note 4 IMEI code in their system.. but I'm very skeptical to this as the box is in mandarin and charger adapter is 2-pin type. Need sifu advice here..

usually manufacturer will pack the relevant components according to the country/region.

my RN4 MY unit comes with UK 3-pin plug.
my earlier 2 imported units of RN4 China Mobile comes with 2-pin plug, which i guess is localized to China region.

dont quite get the reason "imei code not updated in the system", because these IMEI already assigned during production and loaded into various systems for tracking and verification.

try call Mi Malaysia and verify the IMEI directly.

have you compared the packaging with the MY unit? it does come with local distribution sticker, refer here

My set comes with 3 pin charger and with distributor(EIN SDN BHD) sticker on the box. Yours seems like import set.

from what i know, all local/MY set come with 3pin/UK plug.
as for IMEI last time they hv live chat on mi website u may check there or via fb also can.
if verify is import set but seller claim is locate set, just ask lazada for refund. (if u want a refund).

I checked with MI Malaysia, they said can't find the IMEI too.. they asked me to check with the seller directly on how is the warranty work.. (btw, live chat no longer avaialble, need to use email) I bought from Lazada during their birthday sale with SURPRISE150, I feel regret, but, if i return n refund, i wont be able to get back the RM80 discount code.. n their sorry voucher is only up-to RM30.

You need to consult scfans on this. Mine was pre-unlocked.

lazada's live chat works intermittently, when their cs is available. keep hammering the live chat button.

why dont u buy from mi store at the 1st place?
i dont get it, why u need to get back the rm80 code? since u not the one who pay it.

let say rmn4 rm799 - code rm80 = u pay rm719
when u ask for refund from lazada, they will only pay u rm719

I've deal with them and they said I can request refund. My concern here is the RM80 discount voucher which they unable to give me back.. I'm still waiting for the CS to check with their mgmt team to c how much voucher I can get after I return. They said will let me know by 2 working days.

I've did a wrong mistake by not purchasing the black color directly from Mi store (no stock for other color) as I bought that as a gift to my mum.. I survey for long time n only found this seller put the warranty exactly like what advertised by the one Sold & Fulfilled by Mi Store.

If they unable to give me the discount voucher, I'm thinking whether worth to keep the phone even the seller claimed that I can send my phone to Mi Malaysia for warranty. Really feel disappointed for the product description advertised at Lazada.

that's what i worried earlier when buying from Lazada for Black RN4 MY set (not Mi Store, but a reseller which was revealed as Direct D on the receipt aka wow phone in Lazada). luckily the unit came is truly MY unit.

as a matter of fact, my earlier 2 RN4 MTK imported units are working fine though. battery is good too, no issues. both users of the phones are average users, just normal browsing/surfing/FB/whatsapp/wechat/photos/streaming videos/etc.

if your unit already GLOBAL ROM, it should be fine.

Just that warranty would be a bit headache later, within 1 year of usage. but considering the price (with discount codes) vs features vs warranty, the imported unit is acceptable to me

Just saw ur reply after my response earlier. If I return the phone, I still need to buy another phone to give to my mum. That's y if the seller give me the genuine product, I won't go through all this hassle.. if lazada don't give me back the RM80 discount voucher, I will need to fork out extra RM80 for my next purchase after I return the phone.

import set or local set are the same for me (at least for mi devices)
i own both china & MY mi3 both also on global rom, usage wise is the same.
just warranty lo one hard to claim another easy to claim.
but as for re-sell value My set is abit higher la

My seller is same as urs.. but I'm not fortunate as u.. hmm.. my mum also just average user like ur case.. I've check the MIUI version is MIUI Global 8.0 | Stable 8.0.3.0 (MBFMIDG), so is it consider GLOBAL ROM? Sorry I'm noob on this..

you'll need to know if your unit is MTK or SD version. i think it's MTK version, so the firmware versioning could be different than SD.

do check Mi Forum.

That is a genuine global ROM for the MTK version. There are newer ROM updates that you can download for your unit
