If updater failed to verify the ROM i downloaded, need to use edl method? but edl method will wipe data right?

I found after update rom my google apps not working anymore and I need to unistall and reinstall it back.

locked or unlocked bootloader? I'd recommend flash miui eu build, much more fluid and smooth ..without those bloatwares

I am anyway trying to get this unit replaced and I cannot accept the fact that it is larger than my other rdn3. Gemfive is looking into it. I think it will fall under incorrect item category.
