Sound is the same as hpm-70, same earphones except for the remote thingy. I think you can get it cheaper in KL, try asking around. There's only three shops selling hpm-82 in Penang but that's the lowest price I managed to nego with the shop.

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Feb 1 2007, 05:34 PM) There's a second round review of the available camera phones by GSMArena. I still prefer SE K800 to any of those phones. LG KG920 vs. SE K800 vs. Nokia N73: One more photo shootout http://www.gsmarena.com/kg920_k800_n73_photo-review-125.php Read it with a pinch of salt. QUOTE(Red Maniac @ Feb 1 2007, 04:48 PM) QUOTE(tifosi @ Feb 1 2007, 06:33 PM) Can u help me to get in penang and post here? So far in KL i scout around and couldnt get at 60. Hmmmm... I'm sorry, I don't really know where to get HPM-82 in KL at this price. I know authorised SE dealers are selling it for RM180 and the RM60 I've paid for is exactly the same as the RM180 one. My friend has it so I've compared mine with his and confirmed that it's 100% original. My friend was cursing like mad when I told him about it. The only difference, mine doesn't come with warranty but I can test it on the spot. Packaging is the same, 100% identical, just that one is consider AP I guess. I'm sorry I prefer not to post it to KL, heavy responsibility lah, later got problem, I'll be in hot soup. If you wanna know where I bought it, please go to 'Yeah' handphone accessories shop located on the 3rd floor, in Prangin Mall, Penang. I'll try to ask for you here to see if anyone sells it in LYN. At least you can COD in KL, easier lah. Get what I mean? This post has been edited by sunauto: Feb 1 2007, 10:27 PM |

I thought I have replied that in my reply, the shop is in Prangin Mall leh ........ dun wan to start bulk lah, takkan KL dun have meh? It's only HPM-82 wor ...... if Penang have, I think KL should have gua and maybe cheaper.perhaps u can start a bulk and post to KL i kinda interested also QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Feb 2 2007, 03:40 PM) same goes to the LCD quality too, This phone is not without its flaws, you can read the reviews here, http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=1696 and to be honest, I prefer K800i anytime. The 903sh looked like a matchbox to me. Quite ugly to be honest. the secondary camera of 903sh is sooooo clear that you can use it as your mirror, unlike those Nokia and SE's front camera...damn noisy |

No offence Bro, it's not that I can't afford it, it's too girlish for my liking but anyway this is a SE K790i / K800i discussion thread, why should we be talking about 903sh, off topic already.
QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Feb 2 2007, 05:48 PM) try not to think inside the box by just reading others' review, get both phones, and make your own review by doing side by side comparison. design wise, i would say, most of them prefer 903sh's design, it's way more cooler than k800's plain candybar, however judging a design is kinda subjective as it depends on people's perception thus i wouldn't wanna argue much on it perhaps it's because you never had a chance to own it before I got myself 3x of 903sh(Black Limited Edition), each set comes with 3x extra battery and i got alot more other accs e.g. desktop charger, silicon housing etc. It depends on whether you know or not how to get em. Well, obviously that shows that you are easily satisfied |

Seems like HPM-82 is making waves here despite having the same earphones as HPM-70. I've sold my HPM-70 away to an unsuspecting buyer willing to pay RM85 for it.
I'm planning to use the HPM-82 with my Sennheiser CX300 earphones, should be arriving pretty soon according to Jenssen. QUOTE(europology @ Feb 3 2007, 02:34 AM) |

You won't miss it, should be on the 3rd floor. There's only one HPM-82 left, I've bought another one for my sister so it's all yours. So, do hurry. by the way, last night i think my inbox was full because i realise that a few of my msgs that my friend send wasnt save.. strangely they didnt ask me to delete the inbox or send msgs because my phone msg was full. new feature? QUOTE(cupz @ Feb 3 2007, 10:03 AM) Yup, RM60 ......... they put the price tag as RM80 so I went to nego with them until RM60. It's not a good thing wor, if it's not faulty, at least you could sell it for a few hundred ringgit and top up the rest for a K800i. It's hard to sell faulty phones here. getting one soon!! wee!!! my k700i is getting faulty at last!! QUOTE(claxxion @ Feb 3 2007, 07:02 PM) Finally i just sent in my k800i in for warranty, and the staff at ericserve were nice and polite. Wah, the price went down again? Luckily I didn't buy it, guess I should wait till it drops further so that it is as cheap as a MSPD. M2 is revolutionary but it's too expensive, just curious to know if our K800i is able to support up to 4GB in the future via firmware upgrades. And went to lowyat too, grabbed a 1Gb Sony M2 for RM189. I guess its a good deal, now waiting for my phone back to sumbat more stuff in it. QUOTE(youngkies @ Feb 3 2007, 08:02 PM) I get what you mean, it's a bit sluggish but a K800i doesn't have a built in ARM processor or even ram either so it can't be help. |

I think the inbox thingy is not related to the phone, should be limited by the capacity of your sim card. this was my 2nd problem that hasnt been answer, sorry had to double post the question =/ QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Feb 4 2007, 12:41 AM) If at all 2GB M2 is available, does the latest firmware actually support 2GB M2? It's because I read somewhere in the technical spec saying that it supports up to 1GB only Well, the answer is a big yes, http://it.moldova.org/stiri/eng/23258/ and M2 is only designed to be used in Sony Ericsson mobile phones so it is definitely compatible, even if it is not, it can be fixed by upgrading the firmware. Same like my Nikon digi camera, was supposed to support up to 2GB SD card but after upgrading the firmware, it could detect the 4GB SD card easily. I'm sure Sony will ensure that their phones are compatible with their memory cards. To be frank, I would prefer a 2GB card anytime provided if the price is reasonable. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Feb 4 2007, 04:30 AM) where can compare, one is specialised. The EQ is rather limited for K800i but with careful tweaking, it will sound slightly better that the present settings.for my K800, i just set a specific EQ which works well across most music, cos the default EQ and all obviously sux. the setting even sounds decent enough thru the cheap 2.1 sonic gear tatoo 303 which is more for nighttime going to bed listening, so sound quality doesnt have to be that great. now if only SE would release a phone with a 20-band EQ, i will do magic on it QUOTE(alienfighter @ Feb 4 2007, 05:41 PM) The megabass is a bit boomy for my taste but the W series has more EQ settings for us to fiddle with. If you get a good pair of earphones, you would wanna leave the megabass option off. I'm waiting for my CX300 earphones to do a test drive on my K800i. Should be getting it soon. |

QUOTE(alienfighter @ Feb 5 2007, 12:45 PM) im am sure that k750i it louder than k800i.. Even K610i and K618i's speakerphone is a slightly louder than K800i but of course, K800i's speakerphone sounded less hollow than the other two. Well, for video calls, the speakerphone is way too soft so I normally use my bluetooth headset or my earphones instead. my bro using it now... the speakerphone also par behind with k750i QUOTE(bleachzrockz @ Feb 5 2007, 04:33 PM) my area sells K800I for RM1599 (ori) and RM 1250(AP),izit expensive??is it true dat the price would drop after cny??many thx Well, the price probably gone up because of CNY, The cheapest one around is RM1570 but of course, after CNY, you could get it a lot cheaper, if you're not in urgent need of a phone, then you could probably postpone your plans of buying it first.QUOTE(arif @ Feb 5 2007, 09:46 PM) The service centre will probably charge RM50 to RM100 for it but honestly, my friends have updated their K800i (AP) via the web and it worked for them. IMHO, you can update the firmware by yourself, it's not that complicated. |

QUOTE(doomx @ Feb 7 2007, 11:35 AM) hmm,i wanna ask something, anybody uses hpm-82 for their k800? i am planning to buy one but i have no idea where to buy and what is the price. can someone tell me? thank u! Honestly, it's just the same as hpm-70 except for the remote, it's longer by 2 inches in length. Other than that the sound quality is the same, I've heard reviews that SE has solved the background pickup noise with hpm-82's mic, I dunno how true is this because I never had a chance to compare since I've sold my hpm-70 for this one. QUOTE(tifosi @ Feb 7 2007, 12:18 PM) Added you The good news is there are at least 6 units left for sale from the shop where I got them. Three of my friends just bought it last Sunday. They're also doing a promo for the MPS-60 speakers at RM78 for the black or white coloured ones, I've tested them but wasn't too impressed with the sound so I didn't buy it. The actual price is 80 plus, they're selling at this price because CNY promotion. Those Sony Gallery showrooms can get them for you at RM180. Clareen is selling it at 80 plus i think. PM her and see. Edit : sunauto got it for 60 from penang. Cheapest in KL i see is 80 plus. QUOTE(Everdying @ Feb 7 2007, 07:21 PM) the k810 only very minimal changes, mostly in design. Nokia is always on the number one spot as they have the most models released ever in a year and their handphones appeal to every market segment. SE on the other hand, has limited models, if you own a K800i, I don't think you wanna buy a W series handphone just for the megabass because in actual fact, if you use a pair of high quality earphones to partner with your K800i, it will sound much better with more punch. Of course, I do hope SE will come out with more interesting models, hopefully one that can take on Nokia N95. Some competition is healthy here.plus it doesnt come in black but guess this is what SE is trying to do to catch up in the mobile phone market. if they cant beat nokia, then join them in releasing phone and after phone with minimal changes every 3 months |

Well, from the rumours, that K850i will be the first Sony Ericsson phone to have a 16 million colour TFT screen and also with a 5 megalpixel camera. The Xenon flash will be maintained. Other sources say that it will have QVGA video@30fps (perhaps better, cif ), 2.2 inch screen and Nvidia Goforce 5500 graphics chip
