Are you installing those ahem java games? If you're then I guess you installed those games which are not meant for your K800i because not all java games for SE phones will run on K800i so be careful not to screw up your phone, my friend did, all his java apps and games can't be clicked, had to master reset and format his whole M2, then reinstall everything again from scratch.

Nope i didn't install those ahem java games but i downloaded my games in packs thru p2p like ares
is it something like my phone kena virus?
btw...do i need any code to master reset and format my M2?

nope. i guess k800 won't kena virus cause it's not like symbian. maybe the files you downloaded are corrupted?

the first batch of games i downloaded was able to install and play...then bored d use joystick scared spoil then i delete the installation files n stuff...after that my photomate and facewarp disappeared..including the preset games in the phone...
then yesterday, i tried to put in some games to play then it kept saying operation failed...

omg, my games r back
but, i'm having the shortcut bug now !!!

P2P areas? Alamak, that's ahem java games like lah .... if you're not downloading them SE, Maxis, DiGi, et sites ......... then definitely ahem ones. I'm not sure about virus in this case because K800i is not a Symbian phone but whether can a virus infect it or not, I'll never know. I never download games from such sites, I'll just choose the ones I like and download it from via 3G / GPRS.

Well, you'll to backup everything if you're going to master reset your phone and the M2 card must be formatted via your pc. That's what my friend did and he installed either the wrong Java games or the games are not meant to run on a K800i. Or third possibility, might be virus but I'll never know. Well for such a phone, I'm not taking any chances, just pay the RM5 bucks and download it from authorized sites for a peace of mind.

What they say is correct, I'm thinking of getting my phone skinned as well. Then again, I'm also thinking about additional security.

Skinning can only protect your phone from light scratches and not drops or falls. If you drop the phone, you'll end up with dented edges or surfaces.

Like few years back when my perfect Samsung True-I, slipped out of my pocket as I was getting out of the car and dropped on the tar road and ended up with holes and scratches due to small stones and the rough surface of the road.

My sister dropped her Nokia a few months back and the screen cracked on the inside.

I don't know how the crystal case will protect against screen cracks, especially if its on the inside but it should at least provide some degree of protection against dents and and scratches.

The only downside about the crystal case is taking photos with flash and you get the reflection on the upper-left of the pic from the flash reflecting of the plastic.

Unless you're super careful, then skinning will be just fine.

Heard from a lot of crystal case user complain abt it .

The purpose of installing this is to prevent scratches but end up it scratches the phone itself. After installing it, make sure it is exactly fit with ur phone. If not

chey, i thought ahem games referring to "u know what" type of game
it's back to normal now i guess...after i restarted it the first time then the shortcut and f4 problem occured ...after that i restart it 1 more timethen all back to normal already
guess it's a bug?well not sure whether other features will work or not after this restart

anyone tried to use the phone as a modem?? was trying that n it doesnt work..

There are two choices for master reset, full master reset or partial but for the partial one, no code is needed, I haven't tried a full master reset before so no comments on that. My friend just used the partial master reset.


Are you 3G surfing via the cable or via bluetooth? I have tried using the cable before, just select USB Modem, install the software and that's all, no firmware upgrade is needed. As for bluetooth, I haven't tried before because my notebook doesn't have bluetooth.

i can use 3g on the phone itself, right? (no need cable)..

yes, make sure u set all ur 3G setting everything...

done with all the setting, but still cannot..

even called the customer service they, said my setting are alright...
