you got a Vodafone branded phone because it was taken from other country who are running on the Vodafone network and sold to you. remember, AP sets come from anywhere unlike original sets obtained by authorized dealers. if you bought it from an authorized distributor like Midlands, it'll be Cybershot and have no branding like Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and such.

what app you talking about ? can use the red light for torch light ? to install any app very easy only. just copy the installer in \to any folders....and just run it in your phone

As long as you're not getting an AP set, there's nothing to worry. The service centre will gladly fix it for you for free during the warranty period with no questions asked. AP sets will be a headache though but as long as you're gentle and don't abuse your hp, you'll be okay with K800i IMHO.

Yes, it depends on the AP-set you're getting. I'm glad that my AP set (under TKC) is still cybershot branded instead of Vodafone, 3 etc...

I feel that joystick of K800i is quite durable. I've been using it for 3 months already and still not facing any problem yet.

Anyway, for AP users, fixing the joystick aren't that hard. Instead of sending it to service center, you can get it done in normal HP shops also (with some fees of course)

Check your region. To do so, > * < < * <, service info -> software info

You will see your firmware followed by a string of characters. prgCX1250214_<Something> that something should show taiwan or china which supports chinese. Other regions does not support chinese.

Midland sets are shown as China, while AP sets varies depending on its origin

I think it is just you. I can fast forward without any issue.

Actually, I can't fast forward the songs AND the recorded videos. How do you do it? Looks like its time to dig out the manual again.

OK - looks like I can fast forward a track, but not when its playing, can only fast forward when its stopped.

And I still can fast forward the videos.

killerfly - to forward the songs, you gotta press and hold down the joystick to the right, when the song is stopped.

i think you can fast forward the sogns when you are playing them, by a few seconds each time. just hold on the joystick to right.

depends on individuals la this question. if you give a very tough phone to a 'monster', the phone won't last also
