pop up setting got picture show for sms...
activity menu don hav...

cos im using activity menu...tat doesnt show me the picture...

that is a temporary conclusion ....still have to confirm though

ya me too....but i think tat is the reason lar...cos pop up is jus like incoming cal...while activity menu all showed in a list...

but until now still nobody sms me ler

pop up messages are normally sent by service providers... but a pop up msg can also be sent through FMA...

confirmed alrdy....it does show pic when receive sms....last night 1am my gf sms me...

So, urs is setting is pop up or activity menu ?

it can be adjust to activity menu~.....go to the setting..then check the general setting.

u can set how it display when got new events under 'new events'~

or u mean u can let the both event display in pop up and activity menu format at the same time~??

no lar...now the conclusion is:
Setting in New Events:
Activity Menu: does not show contact picture
Pop Up: will show contact picture

ooo....like mine w810i...sometimes when i jus send a message out...then got the report coming back then the sender reply at the sametime..so after read the report..then need to wait for 1-2 sec before the sender reply appear on my screen..did u all facing the same thing?..i m using activity menu for the moment..

ya...1 thing i don like is the sms report wont close by itself...my old SET630 sms report wil jus appear and close in sec...so it wont be anoiying...eiten pulak nid to press OK to close it...tat's y he next msg v receive wil late a bit...
dono got FW wil fix it anot...

it's been like that since the W800i area, unless SE do some changes on their new phones, i think it's here to stay, and technically speaking it's not a fault nor a bug, just a minor disturbance.

OT: eh, i also use T630 last time, i forgot how the SMS report come, can tell me?!

i find the sms report weird... especially considering my old K700i report would disappear when installed the new software (old software had to press OK). and that software came out AFTER the w800i.

im kinda hoping that there will be a new software that fixes this.

maybe SE considered the fact that some people are not around to read the SMS report so they leave it there for users to press OK so that they see it.

else, what is the point?! if you SMS a friend rush into the toilet, the report appear and gone by itself, you will be left wondering whether the SMS is sent.

HOWEVER, it is undeniably quite annoying at times.

but when the report come the phone wil ring and wil vibrate ma...if u stil wondering the msg is sent anot jus go to the sent messages box and u wil saw a tick at the msg icon there...jus press MENU >> 5 > 8 u'll reach there..easy and fast...
i prefer the report disappear itself...at least it is not annoying...

hmm, but hairan, last time when I tried with my gf also, both setting "Activity Menu" or "Pop Up" also the same, no picture shown on it... I have tried on my phone, it function well... got to ask my gf to do it again and see how... haha... anyway, thanks for the info...

how come???there should be a contact pic in Popup,not sure bout Activity Menu though
