For unifi Basic joke of the day:

QUOTE
10 What if my 60GB monthly
quota has reached its limit?
Can I purchase add-ons quota?

▪ Don’t worry, your 60GB data will be refreshed on the 1 st of the
month. Once the 60GB ends, your connection speed will be
adjusted and you will experience slower connection.
▪ There will be no add-ons quota in the mean time, however if you
need unlimited connection, we strongly urge you to upgrade to
unifi Lite or unifi Advance plan.

last week my attainable rate only 8000kbps

Duh.....jangan bermimpi lah. doh.gif

With that kind of value for SNR and Attenuation even on 4Mbps, you should be happy you don't experience random dsl desynchronization.

Now, the problem, have your DSLAM been upgraded by TM to support VDSL (under SUBB programme)? If not, jangan mimpi juga. mega_shok.gif

You don't follow the discussion at Networks and Broadband section? doh.gif

https://rhombuscake.me/tm/

Bow before miloaisdino for the API.

For DSL users, if the address type is :

"AddressType": "SUBB" --->vdsl = unifi lite 10Mbps --->Future 'free' upgrade to 20Mbps (if TM still follow its original SUBB plan)

"AddressType": "NON-SUBB" ----> either there is fiber deployment in the area......or.........keep dreaming

What is Lencount?
*
Not sure, I am thinking it to be distance between dsl modem and dslam. hmm.gif (copper wire distance)*
Which is why I plan to compare his SNR and Attenuation values to his Lencount.

I am on Streamyx I used the tool to check it says Non-SUBB, my neighbor 2 houses beside away on Unifi 30Mbps and he got the turbo email I don't. I checked at TM point my area got Unifi support so will I get the free upgrade?  hmm.gif

TM point say if eligible they will Email/Call/SMS and upgrade will start from 15 August in phases. They are unable to check for me on the spot  laugh.gif
*
So, you had checked ICP ID. How about NOVA ID?
If the NOVA ID also exists for your address as well, then you might be offered with unifi upgrade. hmm.gif

My result:

CODE

               "DslamId": "BG_VF5001",
               "MaxSpeed": "10Mbps",
               "LenCount": "41",
               "PortAvailable": "YES",
               "DslamCount": "11",
               "SwitchId": "BG_VF5001 / IPMSAN_NGN / VF5001",
               "AddressType": "NON-SUBB"

When i asked them to upgrade 8mbps, they said 'system not ready'  rclxub.gif
*
Mesti lah. The system is designed to process 10Mbps unifi lite if the addresstype is "SUBB". What do you expect? sad.gif

I can't find NOVA ID for your address.
Does your area even have fiber deployment in first place? rclxub.gif

Based on the data in the screenshot, NOPE. Not a fat chance. console.gif

edit: could you post your ADSL snr and attenuation value?

mine is PJ.  rclxub.gif

ADSL snr and attenuation value to be taken from routine right?  unsure.gif Not too tech savvy

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin: 42.5 29.0 db
Line Attenuation:6.0 1.0 db
Data Rate:1536 384 kbps
Max Rate:11244 1216 kbps
CRC:0 1

Yes the indeed the address I'm checking now is on snail internet 1Mbps  laugh.gif
*
KK....I re-read previous page and current page.

You might wanna wait until TM offer you free upgrade from streamyx to unifi 10Mbps (free upgrade to 100Mbps), however....beware of port running out issue. whistling.gif If FDP port runs out....well...........you outta luck?

Hmmm.......that is a good SNR and attenuation.

If we assume that "LenCount" is "1069" meters, then the system might decide 4Mbps to be your top speed for stable dsl synchronization.

On the other hand, your SNR is quite good (in fact, very strong), and your downstream attenuation indicates the distance between your dsl router to dslam is around 434 meters.

Then again, TM technicians often enter wrong SNR and attenuation values into the system. doh.gif

note: I am still uncertain what exactly "LenCount' stands for.

I see, so even if within Unifi coverage area but there is still chance of port running out?
If I continue with Streamyx the Max they can give me is 4Mbps?

I think I will wait till 15 August see how, cuz TM point counter staff say those eligible will be notified before 15 August, they start upgrade on 15 August phase by phase basis. I ask if streamyx eligible upgrade to unifi, what package they say Unifi Lite 10Mbps but price is what ever you are paying now,
So means if some people on 8Mbps Streamyx upgraded to Unifi may pay RM160 for Unifi Lite which is actually just RM129  bangwall.gif  rclxub.gif

Though I feel there maybe some misinformation/miscommunication between TM and their staff, not sure how true is this
*
If fiber port runs out, yes, you are stuck with 4Mbps streamyx.

8Mbps streamyx at RM160 ain't worth it. bangwall.gif

But...if no fiber port left for you during free upgrade to unifi lite RM129.......which one is worse?
RM160 for 100Mbps or RM140 for 4Mbps? Your choice....... console.gif

yea, that's the one

non subb means no unifi lite right. basically effed. no way they are gonna lay fibre in the estate.
*
Yup, no unifi lite. since I can't find NOVA ID for your address.....probably there will not be any fiber delpoyment anytime soon.
On the other hand, you might get 2x speed upgrade as long as your current streamyx package isn't 8Mbps.
