4Mbps RM 88 - 10 + 79 = RM 157.
If I can afford that useless webe with total cost of RM 157, I would have subscribed to 8Mbps (RM160 standard, RM140 super duper promotion) in first place.

TM sees growth boost from webe

KUALA LUMPUR: TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd ™ expects accelerated growth from recently-launched mobile portfolio webe to complement its fixed-line business Streamyx and UniFi, says its consumer and SME (small and medium entreprise) executive vice-president Imri Mokhtar.

“This year, TM will focus on the mass market and accelerate that by bringing the convergence experience out to home and SME customers,” he said recently.

Imri said TM anticipated steady growth for its fixed-line business, which was fuelled by broadband.

“Now that we have completed our convergence portfolio with the mobile, we expect accelerated growth to come from the business as we gain market share this year,” he said.

Imri said while another challenging year meant business as usual for the telco, it was crunch time for TM to up its game in delivering the value in services.

“When times are challenging and Malaysians are committing their hard earned money, it is TM’s responsibility to deliver what is expected,” he said.

On the High Speed Broadband Phase 2 (HSBB2) and Suburban Broadband (SUBB) projects, Imri said the company was on track to meet the target in terms of the rollout, which was to deliver a total of 810,000 ports.

He said as at the end of last year, TM had delivered more than 300,000 ports for both projects.

TM had in December 2015 signed an agreement with the government for the implementation of the HSBB2 and SUBB to deploy the access and domestic core networks to deliver an end-to-end broadband network infrastructure and service, as well as increase coverage for the nation.

The 10-year HSBB2 project encompasses the deployment of additional access and core capacity covering state capitals and selected major towns throughout the country.

Under the project, 95 additional exchanges would be HSBB-ready, providing access to 390,000 premises this year.

Meanwhile, the SUBB infrastructure will also be rolled out over 10 years, involving the upgrading of existing copper lines to deliver high-speed broadband access speeds of up to 20 megabyte per second (Mbps) and up to 100Mbps in areas deployed with Fibre-to-the-Home technology, to more than 420,000 premises by 2019.

The total cost of HSBB2 investment for a period of 10 years is RM1.8 billion. The government will be investing RM500 million and the remaining RM1.3 billion will be invested by TM.

The total cost of the SUBB investment for a period of 10 years is RM1.6 billion with the government investing RM600 million and TM investing RM1 billion.

Tawaran untuk menghargai pelanggan? Ni tawaran bodoh dan menghina pelanggan tetap, nak orang bayar lebih untuk webe!! Kalau webe tu percuma tanpa had waktu serta quata, boleh diterima lagi, tapi ni tak, kena pula langgan RM79 webe + discount RM10 untuk streamyx bill.

EDIT: Eh? I thought BB Combo 4Mbps price was RM160? Doesn't this mean you pay more?

Not to mention if one can afford to pay extra RM79 for webe.....he/she would rather use that RM79 to upgrade to unifi instead.

So....what should streamyx + unlucky users of unifi do now?

CFM rejected our reports.
MCMC doesn't really care.
Even TM official email also mentioned Streamyx subscribers are not entitled with speed upgrade.
Thestar, Utusan, official mass media etc don't wanna cover our plight.
Even PM Najib also turning a blind eye on us. I doubt PM Najib doesn't know about our complaints. hmm.gif

No mood lah.
So called unifi lite only available on current covered area. Plus need to pay more for it.

It is 10Mbps from what my source told me. But RM150 for it.....kinda......sigh..sad, another unaffordable crap......upload speed is not yet confirmed, but it is stated to be 5Mbps.

So, before existing RM160 8mbps streamyx complain about U.L. package...remember about the UPLOAD speed difference...

Same, my RM88 4Mbps streamyx area was covered by TM last year, but if you ask me.....I rather stick with RM88. I don't have enough 'disposable' income for anything higher than RM100.

Contrary to our useless (in my opinion) minister of communication claim of saying Malaysians prefer slower speed over higher speed, most of us PREFER FASTER SPEED, not slower.....if the faster speed price is affordable in first place. bangwall.gif

Yes, no upgrade. Multiple internal TM sources already confirmed it. There will be no speed upgrade for the rest of streamyx users except lucky 100k who live in KL/Selangor/Putrajaya.

There will be new unifi Lite package at 10Mbps which will be offered to streamyx users who live within unifi coverage, but you will not keep your current package price. This unifi lite package = pay for upgrade. Price is RM150 (GST exclusive).

The so called upcoming suprises are voucher (different discount value), webe (different RMXX off TM bill) and hypptv (channels repackaging) + new unifi lite package.

*Aside from the 'broadband improvement', there is rumour in TM = data quota will be implemented. How about 300GB sounds for Unifi 100Mbps?* doh.gif
