Yes they did have that student promo in the past.

I tried to avail of the Rm88/month for 4mbps with free tablet promo some time ago...was told that the offer was not available in my area.

I really don't know. But based on my 4mbps @ RM130/month, after the contract ended some years ago they never increased the price. So I'm guessing my 8mbps connect will stay at RM140 plus GST after 2 yrs. Maybe I'll get another phone call with a new promo then.
