Two Titan X Pascal and one SLI HB Bridge shipped. I guess I can continue with the rest of the system upgrade: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4-3200, some mag lev Corsair case fans, and turning the entire theme of the rig green.

Preordered this. Shame that the backplate isnt coming together with this, I may have to figure out a way to mod the factory backplate on the Titan X and stick it on the back. The factory backplate has nice designs on it.

QUOTE(adilz @ Aug 4 2016, 10:03 AM) Errr when is the i7-6950X coming? Yes. Anything other than medium settings at 1080p in rain, pCars in VR is a stutterfest and will make you puke. Even with reprojection enabled, the severe framerate fluctuations makes it really unplayable. In clear weather it's fine. By the way Bro, previously I asked a favor from you. You play pCars with VR right? So need your advice. During thunderstorm race, does the fps drop below 90 fps? Coz my test with monitor, looked like i'm severely bottleneck by my CPU. 1080P, 1440P or 4K, all around 60+ fps only. Clear weather, then only go up to 120 fps. I play with reprojection disable if I can. That tells me if the rig is powerful enough to handle 90fps without frame drops and if it does, the signs are obvious. With reprojection on, the game tries to keep the whole game together at 45fps, but it will fall apart eventually. Or you can game on the Rift with its Asynchronous Timewarp feature, more forgiving than reprojection. |

QUOTE(adilz @ Aug 4 2016, 11:14 AM) Thanks for the info bro. So you VR with HTC or Oculus? I'm thinking of going VR too, but not soon lah. Wanna buy game also looking for dirt cheap now, budget down the drain already. Heard that HTC might officially bring Vive into Malaysia. Both. Since they're heading the platform war route, certain games wont appear on another and vice versa. Sure, I can use ReVive to inject Rift games into SteamVR and play it that way, but too much work and no official support. Just got EverestVR yesterday, and still havent got time to play that yet. Busy handling the mess Nvidia made with the Titan X Pascal launch, they reused the same credit authorization agent HTC used for their Vive launch (Digital River), and that was a mess of epic proportion. At least I can breathe easy now that the cards and bridge has shipped. HTC Vive and Oculus Rift works as a 3DTV with 3D content playback as well. Just use Virtual Desktop or BigScreen app media players. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Aug 4 2016, 11:26 AM |

Leaked PSVR user manual point towards requiring a larger VR space setup than Rift or Vive, possibly due to the innaccuracy of the PS Camera in detecting depth and 3D location in VR space compared to the lightstations on the Vive or the Rift's depth sensor. I'm not sure I have that luxury of space in my home at the moment.

QUOTE(adilz @ Aug 6 2016, 02:02 PM) Ehhhh you pasang now do review air first. And then EKWB arrive can do water review.. Lagi syiok, can see the difference It's tradition that I only will run the cards once it's fully set up into the rig. Still have the mini VR rig to play with when the main rig is out of commission. Unless I only have only one rig and have to get it running ASAP then I'd consider running them air. |

Anyone interested in 3 x GTX Titan X 12GB (Maxwell) with EKWB waterblocks and backplates in red, PM me. These has NEVER been run on air before, and therefore never temperature-abused like if it was running on air. These ran under water at 60C only MAXIMUM, depending on your liquid cooling loop and the volume of coolant in your custom loop setup.
I will also throw this original Nvidia SLI Hard Bridge for free, if you make my life easier and take all three Titan Xs (Maxwell) with waterblocks on them intact off my hands. ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by stringfellow: Aug 6 2016, 08:16 PM |

The 1080 is a nice little gremlin/beast. The Titan X Pascal is terrifying monster. |

Forza Motorsport APEX DX12 running on 8K(!) at 35-40fps! With a G-Sync monitor (when it is available at that resolution) or 4K G-Sync with DSR running at 8K, this is smooooooooooth!

QUOTE(Lurker @ Aug 8 2016, 01:31 AM) Who is this guy and why should his opinion be valid? He claims games should be played and enjoyed and not worrying about framerates or graphics settings, but to enjoy games of certain genres, framerates and graphics settings are required to get to a certain level, competent enough to not draw the player out from being immersed in the game. Playing Battlefield 4 at the lowest settings at 720p with shittiest textures and no shadows, drops the game from being a gritty, modern-world reality based shooter to becoming "Left 4 Dead". Not to say Left 4 Dead isnt enjoyable but Battlefield 4 lives and breathes realism and is its running trademark. The moment Dice makes a fucking Chibi-style BF4 with cartoony graphics, until that happens, I expect that Dice will continue going the gritty ultra realistic route with this, and that includes making it more enjoyable, fun and immersive, which then you run into that 60fps <insert resolution here>. Compare that to "Inside" or "Limbo". The game tempo runs slow. Reeking of ambiance and atmosphere. Not the frantic shootemup, or kill or be killed mentality here. You can crank DOWN your framerate or settings to the shittiest possible and still have the same level of enjoyment as those who has this running on 8K with 144fps. My point here is, he says he tends to use his games as tech demos instead of playing them. That in itself is already wrong. Play them. But to play them, you have to ENJOY them, To enjoy them, the experience have to be enjoyable. For the experience to be enjoyable, different levels of satisfactions are set between many different people. Those who dont care much, 1080p at 30-60fps is enjoyable to them. Those who seeks the highest level of satisfaction and enjoyment, demands more, hence 4k at 60fps. They tune their setups to get these standards. There is nothing wrong with that. It is only WRONG when after all that tuning and setting up, you abandon your games and never touch or play them. These kinds of people, I call them benchmarkers. I am trying to reduce my % of unplayed games (based on steamDB) myself, but most of these unplayed games are gotten from Steam sales as packs/bundle. Like for example, I love Duke Nukem, I could buy that particular game I wanna play at 10 dollars, but for 3 dollars more I get the whole bundle. No brainer there. However, I am saddled with many different versions of Duke Nukem games that I dont really feel motivated to play because of the bundle, when I only want to play that only one particular version of the game. |

Fast forward around 55min to 1hr mark, Nvidia upgraded first 20 people there with the Geforce 6 series (6800, 6700, etc) and Geforce 7 series (7800, etc) series graphics card with a FREE GTX1060. One lucky guy got his Geforce 5 (5200 with 128MB VRAM(!) ) upgraded for free to a GTX1070. The performance jump is simply mind-boggling for him for sure! #@$#%@#%#$! They gave away a free GTX Titan X Pascal at 1:12 hour! This post has been edited by stringfellow: Aug 9 2016, 11:18 AM |

The whole reason to go ultrawide is so that you DONT have to go for that setup. Ultrawides are designed CURVED so that it minimizes the need to move your head around so much while scanning the entire screen estate. And also to remove bezels in surround setups with triple screens. This whole setup regresses back to the whole reason why ultrawide curved monitors are made for. SMH.
