hi,just bought a new gtx 1060 online....after many years on red team...... hope can last for 5 years la this gpu

planning to buy a gaming rig..will gtx 1060 3gb able to run all the latest game (titanfall,BF,etc) at atleast 1080p?

Recently got price increase on computer parts, especially ram naik so much. I just bought some 4GB ddr3 valueram gor my sister 5-6 weeks ago for rm89, now it is rm119 zz. And now i wanted to get somemore ddr3 to upgrade to 16GB myself zzz

Found 8GB kingston hyper x for rm199 but it is ddr4 -____-

How much did you saw those high speed ddr3 ram? Cheapest i saw is hyper x 4GB 1600mhz rm139

Unless you are compiling, rendering, editing or CAD, 16Gb RAM is good enough

Mine would be strictly 4K, planning to replace my 47 inch TV with either a 50 inch or 55 inch 4K TV(unless there is a 50 inch G-sync Monitor). I am currently still doing some research on the TVs.

Haha, I do think that's how AMD's going to play the game. They're pretty confident this time, hence the naming scheme with Polaris vs Pascal, Vega vs Volta.

If ryzen is competitive enough, maybe in half year or one year i will racun my cousin to buy my cpu and mobo and then upgrade to 8 core amd system eheh

Yeah, me too. Not because I want Nvidia to fail, but so that they can gain worthy competition and always provide the best (in terms of price and performance) for customers. But on the lower bracket, the 1050 series simply outshines the RX460 now, even in DX12.

I find that it is very odd that some forumers suggest that Geforce GTX 9 series will no longer be supported by Nvidia as if the graphic cards will suddenly stop working.

I recognize that the updated drivers will not yield faster performance but the older graphic cards will still continue to perform as expected therefore, there is not need to suddenly dispose the older graphic cards. I even have a Geforce GTX580 still running in my dad's PC.

Thinking of getting a new video card as I sold my GTX 970. Since I am on 1080p gaming, not sure want to invest a GTX 1060 or 1070. Dilemma...

I am considering to upgrade from my current rig, Ivy bridge, i7 3770 with GTX1080 and 2K monitor to new Kabylake. But after reading various website, Kabylake seems not much different compare to Skylake in terms of performance. The current games I play, Titanfall 2, GTA V, COD Black Ops 3, Star Craft II and etc. Lately I am playing more FPS games, I used to be RTS/strategy gamer in the past. The current rig is still OK, only the casing not so good in ventilation.  I am hoping to have a better performance pair GTX 1080 with Kabylake.

A few options I am thinking now,
1) Upgrade to Kabylake
2) Wait for Canon lake (Intel says end of the year, another waiting game)

What do you guys think ? To upgrade or not ?

I m not really keen with AMD. So far no firm Ryzen spec yet.

Probably not going to upgrade casing, lazy to take out everything and put to new casing. 

It's an i7-3770 (non K). Looking back, I should have get a K version, those days was cheap. I can still remember the shop keeper advising to take K version, somehow I just stick to non OC. Actually I could just choose whether to OC or not later. Anyway decision already made, no regrets.
