tron mnp needs rm50 right? unless you plan to stay 5 years and if tron hasn't go bust by then
*
Depends ... if you do online mnp the you're at the mercy of the company policy on web purchases ... if you mnp through a TRON dealer then just pay for sim and no need topup ...

can get sim card trus ke ?..I go to shop because I need the new simcard straight away..
*
If mnp to onexox prepaid then its only RM10 for simcard lar bro ... you get the sim immediately and only have to wait for mnp process to complete ...

If you only want to mnp and keep number asleep for 2 years then rm10 is enough ... but if you want to test run onexox then I suggest you try the daily 1GB @RM3 and if good enough then get the SPFAT10+10 within 10 days ...

I don't really understand what is the big fuss about this happy hour? The price is still the same as any other hour right??
*
Happy Hour SP was eagerly awaited back in late 2016 and first half of 2017 ...The later half of 2017 Happy Hour came with Xtras such as tealive voucher etc ...

The current pricing of Happy Hour is now less attractive when compared to the recently introduced SP PLUS except for the occasional VOICE 333 minutes. I believe that there's probably less takers for data happy hour.

So, your observation between Happy Hour 10GB vs SP PLUS50 is correct. However, having options open for us as customers is always a good thing, right ?

hmm...if happy hour RM50 for 10gb included 333 minutes that would be nice offer...will definitely be happy about it

but since you mentioned 333 minutes, can minutes allocation be carry forwarded or stored like rice too??

And if I do not have any RM balance in my account, can happy hour package be purchased by deducting my season pass balance?

Thank you
*
Yes bro, the Season Pass minutes is valid (or carry forward) all the way until your number is terminated. Only the data needs to be activated as monthly plans. The minutes will be deducted automatically whenever you make any eligible +601x local call.

Season Pass can only be purchased with sufficient MA+DA credits. Example: you have RM20 in MA plus RM20 in DA and when you buy happy hour 333 mintes @RM30 then the system will first deduct RM20 in MA + additional RM10 in DA ....

AFAIK there are no xox dealer here in tawau

Bro ... ask uncle google for onexox tawau ... you will sure find some dealer there ... (because xox phyical shop is just non-existence) ...

better deal with onexox dealer. They do it right in front of you so no need for you to wait for sim card to arrive and bla bla bla .... if there's any problem with the mnp process then dealer will follow up for you too ...

Now the Season Pass minimum 10GB/RM100 already?
And monthly subscription no more 500MB/month?
Dangg...
*
laugh.gif
Bro ... minor course correction here ....

the daily season pass minimum purchase is 20GB for RM100 ... the season pass plus minimum purchase is 6GB+50mins+50sms for RM30 ... happy hour season pass is still being offered almost daily ...

Monthly plan 500MB subscription is still available ... look in myxox app or easy menu *150# its still there ...

I'm interested to purchase the season pass 6GB+50mins+50sms for RM30 but I don't see it being offered. Where do I find it?
*
biggrin.gif
1. Go into easy menu *150#
2. Select 6. Season Pass
3. Select 5. PLUS (Auto Renew)
and finally select 1. SP PLUS30 (to subscribe to 6GB+50min+50sms)

-or- you can also sms SP PLUS30 to 22111 to subscribe the same thing ...

before you do any of the above, go read up about Season Pass Plus on xox website http://xox.com.my/season-pass-2/

My internet data finished before end of subscription period. So I wanted to add data with extended period by *150#internet/subscribe from season pass/500mb for 30 days.

But instead the sms reply stated my subscription is active and did not add the internet data for me. How to I add to my data with an extended rolling period?  If I use the sms method 22338/add data 500 the period remains the same as before.
*
You can stop the plan first before subscribing to new data plan ....choose "Stop Plan Now" in the internet menu to stop current data plan.

not exactly bank's fault ... it's more to the SMS gateway provider(s) that they engaged with.

these banks doesnt own the SMS gateway, they used 3rd party services, e.g. MacroKiosk, which in turn subscribed to each telcos to blast out bank's SMS (according to customer's telco).

likely that after MNP, the info screwed up and sent to wrong telco.

by right, one of MNP clearinghouse's job is to perform routing properly after MNP successful. it should be transparent to users.

fyi, each mobile number is tied to its original telco, assigned by MCMC to each telco. when the number is ported-out to another telco, that's where the routing happens so that it doesnt routed back to original telco but to the new telco.
*
biggrin.gif

I second this brief explanation ... most people are not even aware how banks TAC gateway works ... the same with GIRO and IBFT ... most will go "huh?"

Long story short ... the ones who usually gets the blame is either the banks or the telcos ..... when it is actually the gateway providers that messes up ...

Onexox is usually not suitable for high data usage user ...

Still ... there is a valid reason for using onexox even with high data usage ... a friend of mine who is in Sabah living near Gunung Kinabalu tells me that he's on SP Plus every month because D and U signal is almost non-existent while C and M is congested ... He's really happy with the speed he's getting with onexox plus the long validity plus the 9sen/minute calls ... and I believe that he'll stay happy with onexox until something better comes along ....

Contrast his position to mine whereby I get good coverage with ALL telco (C, D, M and U) and so I can pick which is suitable for what purposes ... Have been postpaid free for the last 3+ years and loves the freedom to mix-n-match with prepaids ...

For high data user, tunetalk +vibe 200 is really hard to beat ... that's 20GB monthly for cheap ... none of the big 3 telcos can match it .....

For low-to-medium data usage, I estimate that if your usage is less then 4GB monthly then onexox can be a suitable option depending on requirements (ie, translates to between RM2.50 to RM20 with season pass)

If you are a single person spending mostly for your own needs then you can argue all you like ... Now, imagine a family of six where everyone needs calls and data ... onexox can really help to save a bunch here ...

Every telco product have its pros and cons ... remember that we as consumers have a right to choose .... so choose wisely ...

I don't mean to disrespectful, but not all dealers are helpful especially once you have mnp in.  I feel fellow users are more helpful.

Onexox needs to improve it's guides and processes. It is sure to make new customers burn money. My burn was the fat5+5 plan. I bought it for my siblings who are normally just back for a few days a year for holidays. Problem was that I didn't know
1)  it was activated the day I purchased it on line.
2) auto renewal is on by default.
So guess what happened when I pass the sim cards to my siblings 1.5 months later...

Some like me will stay because we believe in the ideals of XOX. Some will just get burn once and walk away.

Onexox cannot just rely on dealers and customers to understand their complicated system so easily. They must also refine the system to protect their customer from wasting money.  After all, that is what their main ideal is, not to waste..
*
laugh.gif

So, you mentioned that you purchased online and didn't know the fat5+5 will be activated immediately and auto-renewal is on by default and your data fat5 and sp fat5 is gone after 1.5 months later ... That is precisely the reason why you should have first consult any onexox dealer for more information and understand what it is that you're buying .... don't simply buy and then make colorful language at them when you don't know what you're getting yourself into ....

If you are new to onexox then the best is to find and consult with a onexox dealer ..... especially if you intend to mnp to onexox where the dealer does the mnp submission and monitor the progress for you ..... There are few things that you cannot do online, for example: consultation, get replacement sim or register UGU ...

So, it's management issue wink.gif

laugh.gif

In 2014, onexox was a separately owned MVNO company riding on XOX line ... Then somewhere in 2016, XOX Mobile bought 60% of onexox becoz they want a bigger piece of the pie ... since then XOX sells onexox prepaid online and thus begins the confusion due to poor documentation and guidelines by XOX Mobile.

I would like to point out that XOX Mobile is now the parent company of onexox and the XOX website is operated by XOX Mobile ... onexox have no control whatsoever how XOX wants to run their website .... BTW, XOX also controls and make money with Season Pass product ...

Onexox originally sells through dealers ... If you buy from any Onexox dealer and since the dealer is a physical person benefiting from their customer sign-ups then it is in their best interest to ensure that their customer base is happy and well informed on the product features ...

If you buy from XOX Mobile online then XOX Mobile online is your dealer and is responsible for the customers that they register ... BUT ... you have to rely on XOX online documentation/guidelines which may easily become out-of-date ... Even the big 4 (C/D/M/U0 telcos online documentation can also become out-of-date too ....

So the best advice for new users is that they should consult a dealer and asks all questions until satisfied before buying.

that's why a bit confused. anyway, really want to know more.

after given more thoughts, i think xox might be the closest thing to what i need. so i want to confirm:

- after mnp over to xox, i can top up rm80?
- then use this rm80 to buy FAT ... where I will get the promo 10GB + 10GB for 20 months?
- and the rm30 for 333 minutes of talk time?
- this 333 minutes will last for 28 months?
- if i get another xox account / phone number, i get to share the 20GB data and 333 minutes with this account?

I can mnp online and pay rm10, wait for the courier and then online registration and reload?

Appreciate the extra effort. THANK YOU.
*
Cost for mnp to onexox is only RM10. Best advice is for you to find a dealer near you to consult and proceed if satisfactied. You can only get a replacement sim and UGU done with dealer (or a service center if you're lucky to be near one).

1. After mnp completed, you immediately get 28 months validity.
2. After mnp is done, you can topup any amount ex: 5, 10, 18, 53, 81, 99 etc ...
3. Every RM1 will extend your validity by 1 day, ex: you topup RM60 then another 60 days is added to existing validity and it will become 30 months validity
4. To get the promo FAT10+10, you must buy the special SPFAT10 within 10days of activation. SPFAT10+10 = 10GB Season Pass + free 10GB 30days data plan
5. You also can buy the special 333 minutes talktime and will remain valid for 28+ months
6. You can also share credits and season pass balance with other onexox users

For complete info, consult a onexox dealer or you can also mnp online and post some colorful language at xox later ...

Yea, this thing happens sometime. The mnp clearing gateway sometime slow sending the port-in details to the new telco. One of my fren moving from altel to onexox also kena like that when do over the weekend ....

Oh, btw, you will also have some TAC and MSOS issue for the first 3 days. Its normal ok? don't be pissed bcoz TAC gateway company sometimes very fast and sometime very slow updating the routing.

I need a nano sim for my kids smart watch with GPS tracking purpose, so I need the longest validity with lowest maintenance (no need monthly top up to keep active) at the lowest cost. Call and data is minimum, so wonder is xox a good choice for my requirements? If yes, which package? Thanks.
*
If you puirchase from online store, you will get 3-in-1 nano sim. If you buy from dealer then onemusic simpack is confirm to be 3-in-1 nano sim.

Ok, with onexox prepaid, you can choose either one:

1. get new simpack then topup rm50 to buy special SP FAT10+10. You will get 28 months validity immediately after purchasing SP FAT10+10. You also get free 10GB data plan for 1 month use and 10GB season pass data. From second month onwards, subscribe to 500mb monthly data plan auto-renewal for next 20 months. Total cost rm60.00

2. get new simpack then topup rm50 to buy Season Pass Plus 50. You will get 28 months validity updated within 14 days. You also get 12GB season pass data + 50 minutes + 50 sms. Subscribe to 500mb monthly data plan auto-renewal for next 24 months. Total cost rm60.00

You are advised to get from onexox dealer for better before-and-after-sales support.

Thanks for the reply.
Sorry that I'm not familiar with prepaid package (all the whole using postpaid), so may need to ask more questions.

1) what's the difference between 3-in-1 nano sim from online store and from dealer? 3 in 1 mean the sim card itself can be torn into normal, micro or nano sim, right? What is onemusic simpack?

2) what is SP FAT10+10?

3) between your mention package 1 & 2, both also have 28 months  validity, but quite confused with the call and data plan difference, mind to further elaborate?

4) after 1 time top up to validate for 24 month (no top up in between),  and if all value use up, can the line still can dial out or in?

5) where to find onexox dealer?

6) where to buy top up?

Thanks.
*
A1. Yes, 3-in1 nano sim means have mini, micro and nano cuttings that you can press out.

A2. SP FAT 10+10 = Special Season pass for new subscribers, you get 10GB data plan for 1 month + 10GB Season Pass quota. Please read-up about Season Pass (SP) on the 1st post of this thread. To understand SP, read this analogy: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=87519563

A3. Two different Season Pass subscription: No.1 is SP FAT10+10, No.2 is SP PLUS50.

A4. Yes, line can still active until end of validity even with zero balance.

A5. They're everywhere ... ask uncle google for onexox shah alam and walla ...

A6. Onexox dealer, phone shop, 7-11, petrol station, supermarket, selfcare website, etc

Bro, there's a lot to digest and if you want to understand onexox prepaid, better find dealer in your area. They will explain A-Z and answer all your queries.
