HK PPL food is quite average.
Can't compare to other lounges in HKIA.
Even the hawker food (inside airport) is much better, especially if you craze for HK local food.

Lounge maybe, but not TGM & Flight Club which are under PPL.
They do allow entry to Changi TGM.

You could still get in flight club with Priority Pass now. Flight club is better in the sense that it is less crowded. Food quality is better but not so many choices compared to PPL. Place is smaller and chairs are restaurant like chairs, not so comfort to sofa type available in PPL. Overall, I would still prefer PPL in KLIA compared to Flight Club, unless PPL is already full.

The mas domestic golden lounge used to have a shower but after refurbishment, they inexplicably removed it!....don't understand mas sometimes....it was useful for people who were out whole day, to freshen up before flying back to their hometown...

Recently I bought air ticket with MBB Amex Reserve.
Called CS for travel insurance detail.

For luggage lost and flight delayed, you need to use the card to swipe for necessary stuff and it is claimable (keep and submit your receipt).
"Family" covered only your spouse and kids (less than 21yo), traveling together with you (parents not applicable).
This one I think most of us understand.

I was surprised he told me, for accident coverage, it is only applicable for OUTBOUND journey!
During your stay in overseas, you are NOT covered!
And the return journey also not covered.
I always assume that if we are buying a return ticket, we are automatically covered from the moment we fly, till we get home.

It depends on whether the 2 airlines have interline agreement....if yes, you can check through....if not, or the foreign airport check in agents refuse to do for you (as it happened to me several times despite single ticket multiple airlines bookings), you need to exit, collect bags and recheck in....

Not sure what happens if you don't pick up your bags....have seen bags just left in the open next to the carousel....but in Changi, they will collect the unclaimed bags (the officer says after 3-4 rounds nobody pick up, it's removed) and stored in the unclaimed bags office....and you can pick up later....or if FSA, you can actually go to the transfer desk in transit area and show them the tags, and they will look for your bags and retag them....but then, they are the world's best airport....

The 3rd alternative, if the 2nd sector airline allows early check in, is collect your bags, go straight recheckin, then re-enter the secured area....

Otherwise either come out and stay outside, or take a chance with your bags still around the next morning.... remember klia is a no rank airport with a known history of pilfered bags ...

If you purchase ticket as 1 trip, ie Pg - HK (via KL), usually no need collect your luggage, they will transfer into your next flight.
If you purchase ticket separately, yes, you need to collect your luggage.
Nevertheless, do confirm with airline counter / staff upon check in.

Do take note on some overseas airport, where their international and local flights are in different terminal and you have to collect your luggage in between.

This would be a selling point. FD rates are board rates though. Never heard SC had any promo rates for FD, like all foreign banks.

The question we are discussing is if we have to collect luggage after first leg, while waiting for next flight the next day (or 8-10 hours later).
After collecting luggage, I think we have no way to enter airside again, hence we need to drop the luggage but usually the counter only open 3 hours before flight.

For the record, a group of us checked through bags with a 12hr overnight transit....both international-domestic and international-international, last week....

My dad is using CIMB Preferred VI, and we just went in PPL without "voucher", both local and overseas.
Just like normal CC, swipe at reception desk.
I am not sure if he is getting any voucher in the first place.

Do note that normal CIMB VI - 8x PPL access + 100k spending/yr (the list only shows local + Sg)
For CIMB Preferred VI - 6x PPL access (private wealth) or 4x access (Preferred) + unlimited in Sg, Indo, Thai, Camb.
However, from the PPL list, it shows only local + Sg.

Regarding Supp card access to lounge, only Ambank and PBB stated clearly in their T&C.
For the rest, I can't find any related info.

For Ambank, EACH Principal and Supp card holder is eligible for 5x entry (ie for VI)
If you have both VI and WMC, you have 5+5 entry

For PBB, Principal and Supp card are pool together for total 3x entry (ie for VI)
Worse still, total entry remains 3x if you have both VI and WMC

RHB, I heard a few times for Supp card, but can't find any info from their website.
Are they having separate or combined access (ie x5 for VS)?

At least Ambank & CIMB VI waived fees of 600+ for priority customers and have better benefits for PPL access.

I have the WM and you need to swipe 3x overseas any amount to be entitled to the cashback. The cashback is capped at RM80 per month, only one swipe per month (meaning the first swipe) is entitled to the cashback. Cashback will usually be credited in the following month

You need to use your SCB card to pay for the ticket. Best if you pay over the counter. It will be automatically tracked, don’t need to inform scb
