QUOTE(charlesj @ Feb 11 2019, 04:23 AM) For CIMB VI Preferred, I don't see anywhere indicating 1 day / entry. I tried somewhere last Sept, one entry in the morning, and another entry in the evening (same day, different airport), so far so good. May be some card allows you x number of entry per year. You can choose to use it all in one day as long as it is within the x number.

QUOTE(YH1234 @ Feb 23 2019, 02:46 AM) any thread or article that provide assessment n comparison among lounges, at least those in klia1 n 2? the other day when i try to sign in for ppl at klia2, the response is tis 2 r for klia1 only, tis one can access the opposite aerotel, tis one is ppl inside, then only i realise there are so many lounge for different card at diff location, more homework is needed before i apply all this travel cards. Chartered Bank Priority customer CC is a very good one. ~ 1000 lounges worldwide including KLIA domestic.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Feb 23 2019, 03:53 AM) All the information is in the front page, just that the TS is Mia, and recent changes have not been updated.... As for use of lounges, there aren't any lounges in the domestic airside areas....but in klia2, there are 3 outlets in the landside, which potentially domestic passengers can use....however, in recent months, both ambank and rhb have removed domestic passengers from access... others like Maybank, Aeon can still use for domestic travels... The landside lounges were abused by some people...who used them when not travelling....hence the crack down by banks.... I think they still need boarding pass to enter. So the word 'abuse' is a bit misleading.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Feb 23 2019, 04:30 AM) No, non travellers got in by just showing ic.... the lounge operators don't really care, every admission is income, charged to the bank.... Now, that is abuse alright. But whenever I use those landside lounge, they always ask for my boarding pass. So the problem is lounge operator and travelers shouldn't be penalized

QUOTE(limeuu @ Feb 23 2019, 03:50 PM) Airside in airport usage means the restricted area where only passengers can enter....the 3rd landside "lounge" is the green market, which is a public access food outlet....you get a set meal with the cc..... There is another small airside ppl in l-pier....after final security.... Because klia2 practices separation of passengers (ie arriving and departing are separated), you cannot access any of the airside lounges on arrival....but you can use the landside lounges, and you can use your used boarding pass to enter on arrival, it's allowed.... In KLIA, arrival and departure are mixed so you can access the ppl on arrival too....but means you may be late to pick up your check in luggages....no problem if you don't have check in.... As long as you are travelling, using your cc to use the lounges is fine....that's what the privilege is for....it's abuse when you use them WITHOUT travelling.... 1. What if you board a flight departing overseas at 23:50 hr and landed next day 03:00 at KLIA/2. Can still use that boarding pass? 2. What if you use the lounge at KLIA and not pick up the luggage because connecting flight is only 08:00? Not safe to collect the luggage late? Any idea?

QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 8 2019, 12:09 PM) Normally on arrival home, people just want to get home as soon as possible.....But if you want to use the ppl, your bags will either be left on the carousel or at the side.....take a note of which carousel as the information will have disappeared from the screen by then.... Or you can collect your bags and go over to KLIA2 to use the landside lounges.....they accept arriving boarding passes.....or used to.....not sure if the recent changes by some banks have affected that..., How about this scenario. 1. You arrive from overseas. 2. You have to collect your luggage. 3. Go to connecting flight check-in counter but counter wouldn't be open for another 6 hours and you don't want to drag your luggage around. 4. So may as well stay on airside to kill time. Happen more often than you realize.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 10 2019, 06:08 AM) Then it's not "arriving home" per se, but on transit....and if I need an overnight transit at KLIA, I will make sure I am able to check through my bags, so I don't have to worry about them....and then just spend the night somewhere.....have done this multiple times in Changi.....and either spend time in ppl.....or book a 6hrs block at a transit hotel..... For KLIA, I would usually book a night at tune hotel if it's more than 9hrs overnight.... otherwise just stay in the ppl..... like I said, there are times one would want to spend/kill time on airside PPL and yet have to worry about luggage on carousel.
